I feel bad. Why isn't he treating me like shit back? I pretty much deserve it.
"Hey, Choi."
"Go away."
"Choi, can we talk?"
"I'm busy."
"Soobin, seriously I want to get along-"
"Mhh whatever."
"Don't make it so difficult!"
Either way I can't, because he risks his job by making excuses to see me. Whilst I trash his efforts, I keep forgetting he could beat the shit out of me. Maybe I should just stick to ignoring him, I'll talk to Iseul later digging deeper into why I'm doing this. For now, I'll try being less..avoiding. Now, I've never gone against Iseul but this seems too wrong, too immoral. Every time I come to meet those sad eyes, they look so watered and sulken, so lost in hope that I stole so simply. Even the smallest of actions can burn worlds down.
"Iseul, why am I avoiding Kang?"
"Popularity reasons."
"But don't you think putting us together will create an even stronger fanbase, quote on quote from Miraculous the movie: 'stronger together'."
"That's a movie Soobin, a movie isn't your life."
"Iseul, please!"
"No, Soobin this is for yours and Taehyun's safety."
"How exactly is this safe? Making people argue to see who the better idol is? Friends falling out because of us?"
"People will like you too much sometimes, to the point they'll do anything for you. Soobin, could happen with you. Someone could love you a bit too much, so if you want to protect Taehyun, please listen."
All of this made me realise how cruel the world can be, how selfish and greedy we can be. I want to talk with Taehyun, and I have a plan. I need to find Taehyun first, there's a place here that I could predict where he could be, the gym. He's short but strong.. it's almost attractive. I personally hate the gym, working out is just way too hard for someone as effortless as me. I always see my fans commenting on my physique saying things like:
• "He's got good stamina for someone who doesn't work out."
• "Did Soobin lie about not working out? He does stuff that only people who work out can do."
• "He's so naturally pretty, Taehyun has nothing on him."
Soobin absolutely despised people comparing him to other artists, whether it advantaged him or put him down in a state of insecurity, he thought it was not their place to decide on that. KPOP is all about competing right? Almost everything is. Competition is skillful, but there's boundaries. Idols are created for entertainment to the audience, but just because they are working to make fans satisfied, they are still human. Service doesn't lead to submission, it's your dignity. Let your guard down and the consequence is brutal, almost anyone thinks they can take you apart like shredding paper. Soobin can't do anything but remind his audience about this, he's really lucky because that is the smallest percentage of his audience, the rest he genuinely likes to communicate with on stream and in live shows.
This place REEKS of sweat, it's full of idols I'm familiar with, as I push my way through the stink many groups attempt to communicate but me --who wants to get this over and done with-- just ignores them, feeling a tad bit guilty. Then there he is, with his black tank top and knee-length airy black shorts. He immediately spots me, waiting for me to speak, but he scratches that to tease me. What a fool. "THE Choi Soobin finally came to see me. What a shocker." Taehyun drops everything, wiping down his sweat, somehow it made him.. somewhat.. EW STOP. "Don't get too excited.. I just came to make a deal, or a plan." How embarassing, my face feels so irritated, burning hotter than the deepest depths of hell and humiliation swallows me whole. "Oh? Let's go somewhere secret then..?" I know that was a question, but why did he have to smirk as if we were gonna make out?
We didn't make out, but..
their position: 🧍♂️🧍♂️🚪
(taehyun pinned soobin)"What's with the position?"
"Why not? Plans are secretive right?"
"Whatever."
"Despite your manager telling you act mean to me, you're actually mean."
"Do you want me to act like your biggest fan?"
"I don't mind that."
"Idiot, what do you think of this plan then?"
"It's great, but why are we getting close?"
"To put an end to toxic comparing fanbases."
He's still pinning me, when we hear an obnoxious thud from the enterance of the changing rooms, a mid tone female voice belonging to.. Iseul, and next to her? Jungmin. Taehyun is too shocked to move so I just slide my back down in embarassment. "There they are." Iseul says looking at me with pure disappointment.
Soobins Plan
- - - - - - - - - - - -1) get iseul and jungmin together
2) get closer to taehyun
3) put an end to toxic fans
4) ...
Now, I didn't really think it through due to some impulsive desperation coursing through my veins, but number 4 can figure itself out. "Jungmin, I told you to keep Taehyun out of Soobin's sight. Look what happened!" Iseul then goes from scolding me with expressions to verbally teaching Jungmin how to do his job. "None of them are injured Iseul, I'll keep an eye out next time, sorry." She scoffs along with a sassy hairflip, clacking her heels out the door. Jungmin then looks at us with a face saying 'seriously, guys?' and then turns back to chase after Iseul. "Step 1, halfway done." Taehyun looks down at me, with that cheeky smirk that makes me wanna wipe it straight off. To that I reply, "Yeah, maybe don't pin me anymore, they'll think we're fighting."
"We're on a team now Soobin, so let's get on."
