Moonlight Babe

"Can you drive me home John " I say into my phone asking to go home right away after school to get ready and still be able to do my homework.
"Yes I will be there in five" he says I heard him pick up the keys and walk out the door before he hangs up.
Rianna looks expectantly at me.
"He's gonna pick me up." I say letting go of the breath I had held without knowing.
Rianna squeals and gets her bag so she could come with me. I wait for him at the door talking to a few of my friends waiting for their bus or ride too.
My brother gets out of the car and walks towards me.

"Hey, you ready?" He asks

The seniors look at my brother. Wait let me correct that the senior girls look at my brother.

"Yea, Rianna is coming through the door right now." I say grabbing her hand before any of the 12th graders come to talk with us.

We walk towards the car quickly, as my sluggish brother walks as if in slow motion.
"Come on John" I say
he chuckles at me and walks quickly.
"Got a date or something little sis?" He asks wiggling his eyebrows
"Maybe" i say
He stops and turns towards me.
"Are you serious" he asks no joke in his tone
"Yes John. Why?" I ask instantly regretting it.
"Who is it? Are you going in group? You're in grade ten, no sex. Or at least use protection. Oh my god Rianna did you know? Oh my god" he says talking quickly.
"What the actual heck? Are you okay? It's just a first date none of that shit. And you know I'm waiting for the right guy!" I say my face red from embarrassment.

Rianna is laughing so hard in the back. I smack her.
" I know but what if you think this is him." He says rubbing his neck while getting into our driveway.
"Well I will find out after the 15th date then" I say
he blows out a breath and goes inside. I walk into the house and put my bag in the den closet. Rianna follows suit. We walk upstairs into my room. 4 hours and then I have my date with Ben. 4 hours.

I go into the washroom and take a quick shower. My hair dries in 20 minutes.
Rianna and I walk into my closet.
"This room is so big I could literally live in it." She says
"Well then bring ur stuff and follow through with that plan" I say laughing
"Maybe I will" she says as if thinking it over.
I go over to my dresses and put out a light blue dress that looks jeanish. I pair it with a long sliver necklace. Rianna puts out some brown flats and a creamy cardigan just in case it gets cold later. (PHOTO POSTED)
I walk into my bathroom and turn on my curling iron. I curl the ends of my hair and leave it open. I let cascade down my back and some sitting on my shoulders.
"MAKEUP OR NO?" I yell into my room at Rianna still in my closet.
"YOU DONT NEED IT BUT PUT SOME ON IF YOU WANT" she yells back
"OKAY" I reply.

I look at myself. What if Ben likes it when I put makeup on? I felt self conscience for the first time. What if he didn't like makeup. I looked at myself in the long mirror. Do my legs look weird? I mean yes they're thin and like tan but I mean what if they look weird in this dress.
"WHATS TAKING YOU SO LONG?!" Rianna yells.
"I don't know" I whisper.
She comes in and joins me in the mirror.
"What if he doesn't like me like this Rianna?" I ask looking at her in the mirror.
"Look at yourself Jenna. Your beautiful. I mean like shit if he doesn't I don't think he knows what's really beautiful." she says hugging me.

I smile and feel better. She's right if he doesn't then why would he ask me out right?

I smooth out my dress and walk to the counter. I swipe on some mascara and put on a light Champagne gold shimmer onto my lids. I put on my lip gloss and walk out.
"Wow" Rianna smiles
I smile and slip on my flats. It was 7:30. I spray my Chanel perfume and I walk over to my desk and start my math homework and was about to finish the last two questions when my phone went off.
-hey I'm outside :)- Ben texts
-be out in a second- I say and shutting my phone off and getting up. Rianna looks up from my bed and grins from ear to ear.
"He's here isn't he?" She giggles.
"Yes he is" I breath out
She pushes me out the front door and I see Ben climb out the car to open the door for me.

"Hey" I breath out before getting in.
"Hey" he smiles. He walks over and kisses me.
I smile as I get in the car and watch as my curtains close. Rianna saw him kiss me.

"So what movie are we gonna watch?" I ask
"Actually I was wondering if we could go somewhere else?" He says taking a turn
"Of course." I say confused

He drives into a beach.
"I love the beach" I say to him
"Me too it helps me think" he says getting out to open my door.
He opens it and takes my hand in his. We climb out and walk towards a set blanket with some food and drinks.
"Oh my gosh. Ben this is perfect" I say squeezing his hand
"Yeah?" He says his eyes twinkling
"Yeah" I say kissing his cheek.
We sit down on the blanket and eat some cute sandwiches and some sparkling water with a taste of strawberries.
"Remember when I asked you to come here with me two weeks ago and I said I needed to make sure of something?" He asks turing towards me.
"Yea, what was it?" I ask moving so that I could sit in his lap
"If you and I could be something. If we could actually work out." He says thrilling a piece of my hair between his fingers.
I lean into him.
"I think we could work out" I say grabbing his free hand and intertwining it with mine.

He kisses my head and we watched the sunset.
Cliche I know but I guess sometimes movie moments happen when you don't realize.

The moon is out and we get up and start to clean up.
"Why did you wear makeup tonight?" He asks me when we finish.
"Oh well it was a date" I say
"I love your face bare. It's beautiful on its own." He says kissing my hand.
"Do I not look good in makeup" I ask self conscience again.
"No it's not that. It's. That I love your natural face. It's smoothness" he says caressing my cheek. "how it gets pink when you blush" he says kissing my cheek "how your body and face radiate in the sunlight and moonlight" he says leaning me on the side of his car.
"Your a moonlight babe." He says kissing me
I kiss him this time not wanting to let go. I play with his soft short hair. He holds my face in between his hands.
He backs away.
"My moonlight babe" he says.
I smile and he opens the door.

I don't ever think I have wanted to stay anywhere as much as I wanted to stay with him. For the rest of my life perhaps.
He drives me home silently until we reach my house.
"We can't tell anyone we are going out just yet" he says holding my hand
My heart stops
"Why not?" I frown
"Because Alex likes you and if he knows I like you too, he won't ever talk to me." he says
"He is planing something tomorrow and I don't know what but at the soccer game something is gonna happen." He continues
"Oh" I say
"I'm sorry I wish I could tell the world that we are going out but I can't just yet" he says
"It's fine, don't worry I won't tell anyone until you think we can" I say
"Thank you" he says softly smiling.
"Bye I will see you tomorrow" I says getting out of the car.
I go inside expecting Rianna but inside I see a note on my door saying that she had to leave to see Joseph.
I walk into my room happy and sad at the same time. I walk over to my long mirror.
"Moonlight babe" I whisper to myself. I smile. Perhaps a secret is meant to be kept sometimes. I change out of my clothes and into a pair of sleeping shorts and put on just a sports bra. I get under the covers thinking of what he named me.
His moonlight babe.

YAY THEY WENT OUT!! WHAT DO U THINK ALEX IS GOING TO DO AT THE SOCCER GAME?! LOVE YOU BABES xx
