Lauren had her headphones on Walkman in hand. "Why were you at my house last night?" Nancy grabbed Lauren's shoulder from behind, causing her to stop. She pulled her headphones down, resting them on her neck.

"What?" Lauren looked at her confused at what she was referring to. She had completely forgotten about such a little detail like that. From the extremely long, crazy, and detailed night

"Why were you over?" Nancy repeated her words. Lauren looked over at the girl almost as if she was studying her as she thought of a lie on the spot. Nancy's eyes widened wanting an answer as every millionth of a second passed by.

"I needed your help, uhh... Lucas promised to help his neighbor find their dog-, but it was getting really late, so I helped, and I figured you could help." Nancy looked somewhat pleased with the answer as she began to walk un the same direction as her. "The real question was, why was Steve Harrington at your house last night?" Lauren said, trying to change the subject.

"That doesn't matter," Nancy shrugged and smiled at her. Lauren raised her eyebrows wanting more but never getting it.

"If you say so." Lauren started to walk faster to her class, Nancy continued beside her. "So how was it after I left?" She wiggled her shoulder hinting at the fact that something else happened. She took this time to disregard who it might be with.

"We went back to studying."

"Oh right, studying." Lauren winked at her before turning the corner.

Nancy hollered out to the girl walking away, "We were just studying." A few eyes landed on her, but no one knew who she was talking about and simply didn't care.

"You know you can relax. That test wasn't even that hard." Lauren turned the corner holding her books in her arms and Nancy's card in her hands. Her hands moved back in forth from front to back while she was going over the note cards. "And if you do bad at least it's over in an hour, right?"

"First of all, no. Second of all, you didn't have Kaminsky, and third of all, how do you even remember that you took it last year." Nancy said as she was trying to memorize the mistake she had just made.

"I have a good memory." Lauren shrugged looking back at the next question.

"Oh, you have a good memory? I remember the time you forgot your damn shoes, how in the world does that happen." Lauren wanted to put that stupid incident behind them but it seemed to be a top ten moment in Nancy in Barbara's life considering who much they brought it up.

"I thought you said you wouldn't bring that up." Barbara and Nancy smiled at each other. "Besides I was in a rush." Lauren smiled at her friend before returning to the flashcards, "Boiling point of aluminum."

"Two-thousand four-hundred and seventy degrees Celsius." Lauren flipped the card looking at the answer.

"Yeah." Lauren's hands dropped but her arms still held on to her books. "Someone else can do this. Shit is boring. " Lauren went to pass them to Barbara when Steve grabbed them from Lauren's hands. "Not you." She said, rolling her eyes, matching Barb's frustrated look.

Tommy did something to Barbara making Lauren roll her eyes. "Leave her alone Tommy," Lauren asked. He mocked her making her roll her eyes again.

"Don't worry, Hop I'm not helping you." Steve and Nancy were talking alongside Tommy and Carol. Each individual person in that little trio was unbearable. It didn't help that they hired together.

"Asshole," Lauren said under her breath as she hugged her book unto her body.

"Right." Barb said "Like what about him is appealing? His attitude, his friends, his grades." Barb kept listing off things she didn't like about him. Lauren leaned against the same wall Barbra was on.
