-Jack's POV-

"What do I do now?" Rapunzel asked.

We sat in silence for a while trying to think of what to do. Rapunzel stood up silently and walked toward a large diamond shaped window. I watched her stand. Nothing moved. All was still.

After a few moments, Rapunzel walked back to me and sat down on the floor. Our gaze locked. Her big, eternal, green eyes had hints of seriousness. She looked at me as if asking a question with her eyes, but the question was fuzzy to me.

"Jack?" she started, "I have a question, but I don't know what you'll think of it."

I looked at her with longing. What was she going to ask me?

"Would....Would it..." she stopped. I tried to show interest, wanting her to go on.

"Do you think...it would be okay....if..." she thought to herself for a moment. Then she couldn't hold it in anymore.

"Do you think it would be okay if I moved here?" she said.

I looked at her with a blank expression, "What?" I said, not fully understanding what she meant.

"Do you think I could leave the North Pole and create my own place here?"

"Well....I don't know," I said truthfully. I really didn't, "I guess you would have to talk to North about that."

She showed a second of disappointment, but a determined look took it's place.

"All right then! Because I was just thinking. My family is here and I don't want to stay at the North Pole forever! I mean, Tooth has her palace, Bunny has his Warren, Sandy has his island, and North has his workshop. You....well you have the frozen lake you told me about. I want a place of my own too!"

Jack thought over the question. It was true. Rapunzel was the only guardian without her own home.

"I would definitely bring it up with the rest of the guardians, but I think it would be okay."

"Great!"

Pitch was in his lair putting the final pieces of his plan together.

"Well Onyx," he said to his nightmare steed," my plan is almost complete. That new little pest of a guardian will be mine!"

He laughed as he put the finishing ingredients into his cauldron.

"Do you want to know my plan Onyx?" the horse neighed in reply, "Well you see, I have a sneaking suspicion that Jack is developing feelings for the little wench. Therefore, I will give her this potion, that she so rudely turned down the last time she was here, turning her evil. He and the other guardians will of course try to find someway to cure her, which there is not, and I...with my new partner, Rapunzel, can finally destroy him and the other guardians. It's the perfect plan and if that doesn't work, I have a backup just in case."

He smiled and continued to work.

"Not long now."

-Rapunzel's POV-

Jack and I flew back to the North Pole. It wasn't a very long flight since Norway is very close to North's workshop. We landed outside and walked through the huge oak doors guarded by yetis. Once we were inside, we set off to find North. He was right in the middle of yelling at a yeti for not making a cute little doll right. Jack started snickering and I couldn't help but smile, not because we were mean enough to think someone getting yelled at was funny, but because the yeti just kept going with the doll and every now and then, rolled his eyes.

Jack made a sharp laugh which caused North to turn and look around. He set eyes on us and smiled. He held up his pointer finger at us, indicating to wait a second. He finished scolding his worker and started walking toward us.

"Still ruling with an iron fist, I see" said Jack with a smile the made my stomach go wacky.

North gave a hearty laugh,"You have to let yeti know who's boss" he said with a smile, "What brings lovebirds here?"

I felt myself blush bright red.

"Come on North! Don't start that again!"

I looked at Jack. He was frowning, but his eyes glinted with a pleased look. I wondered about it.

"We came here on business," said Jack, "Rapunzel has a question."

Then he looked at me for a moment and nodded his head in North's direction.

I closed my eyes for a second longer than usual and took a deep breath.

"North," I began, "I was wondering if it would be okay if I moved out of the North Pole."

North looked at me with an unknown expression which changed to an accepting smile.

"And where would you go?"

"I would live near my relatives in Norway" I said confidently.

North smiled at me then pretended to be in deep thought, stroking his long beard. Several moments went by.

"All right Rapunzel! Just be smart about where you move. And remember that your home will not be seen by anyone who does not believe in you."

I looked down thinking about Anna and Elsa. Tear sprang to my eyes, but I quickly brushed them away.

"Thank you North!"

I grabbed Jack's arm and pulled him up to my room.
