JANES POV I woke up to the sun piercing into my eyes. But this morning felt— off? I mean it was super quiet and not even the birds were chirping. I shrugged and climbed down the ladder and saw that max was already up, she was on her bed with headphones on and scribbling into a journal. As I walked by, her ginger hair that basically flowed in the sunlight caught my eyes. I was so distracted I ran into the wall. Oww... well that went well- I went to the bathroom and got dressed into a grey T-shirt that I got on a vacation and some Jean shorts. I tucked my shirt into my jeans since my shirt was a little long. I put on a blue and black coat since it was cold that morning. Which made the morning even weirder, it was summer. So why was it cold? I pushed the thought and went out of the cabin. I saw mike and I smiled, but I still felt nothing! What the heck mis wrong with me?! Maybe I'm just— homesick? I dunno. I ran over and hugged him. He smiled and kissed me ok the lips. My smile disappeared, making mike put on a confused look. " what's wrong Jane? " he said, pulling his arm around my shoulders. " nothing mike, I'm just tired. " I smiled again. But that was a lie and it's honestly funny he fell for it. I mean, the real reason was that I feel nothing around him. And I don't know what to do. I thought about the kiss, I bet max kisses nice— NO. What the heck?! I can't even think about my boyfriend without Max coming up. I think I have problems— like MAJOR problems. I thought for a while. okay, I know what I should do. I think I'm gonna break up with Mike, is that a good choice.? UGH— why is this so complicated?! You know what! I'm doing it! My thoughts would race back and forth. I tapped mikes shoulder. " Mike? Can I talk to you over there? " I pointed to a tree a little bit from Will, Dustin, and Lucas. Mike nodded and we walked over, breath Jane, this is the right choice. " Uhm... so, I wanted to tell you something. " I spoke with nerves. " what's up-? " he said a little concerned for what I was gonna say. " okay, mike, this has nothing to do with you I promise— I think it's mainly me but I wanted to say... " I hesitated. " we should break up. Again— it's not you I swear I just, don't really feel anything when we kiss or hang out anymore. I'm sorry Mike. " I said quickly. Mike nodded and smiled " that's okay! Uh— I sorta wanted to say that as well. " wow- was it that easy? Well now it was awkward, Mike went back to the group. I sat against the tree enjoying nature. Then I heard something from the woods again, I went to the back of a cabin and looked into the woods. " hello..? " I spoke softly. I walker further and went into the woods. A branch snap and I looked down, my eyes widened and goosebumps flooded onto my skin as I looked down seeing a sight so horrifying it could make a grown man scream. I shrieked louder than I ever had in my entire life...
