Chapter 2 - The Golden Weapons

(Y/N)'s P.O.V

'(Y/N) is the Master of Death.' I couldn't believe it. The one question I had been waiting for an answer my whole life had finally came. But of course, I had to be the Master of Death. The one classed as a curse for whoever has it. They are always cast out from society. If there had to be one elemental master everyone knew about, it would be the Master of Death.

'Hold up, isn't that a curse, Sensei? Like, no offense, but I don't want to be on a team with that guy-?'

'Shut it, Jay.' I glared at him, again. I needed time to think. 'But please, continue your conversation.'

Wu nodded, 'It is time! We must go to the first weapon!'

'Whoa! Hold on a minute. You said you were gonna teach us Spinjitzu and (Y/N)'s basically a curse to the rest of us, can you answer that?' Wow, and I thought you were kind, Cole.

'Spinjitzu is inside each and every one of you, but it will only be unlocked when the key is ready to be found.' Wu pauses for a moment. 'Come! My feet are tired. We will take the horse carriage.'

We don't have horses, but I know what Wu's going to do, hopefully I don't get wrapped up in this.

'Great.' Cole said.

'Now we have to find the key?' Metaphorically, Jay.

'Yeah, I'm feeling like he's taking us for a ride.' If only Cole knew.

'Well, if it means finding my sister, then sign me up.' Kai's going to get himself killed.

✨Time Skip✨ Still (Y/N)'s P.O.V

The next day, the four ninja, and me, pulled the horse carriage which Sensei Wu was sitting on as we travel to the Caves of Despair to retrieve the first Golden Weapon. The Scythe of Quakes.

Jay, mocking Kai, '"Sign me up."Way to go, spark plug.'

'I sense this is some strange form of team-building.' Is it though, Zane?

'Just keep pulling. We have a long way to go.' At least Cole can keep them from arguing, but I'm staying quiet in the corner, listening. I was over being the Master of Death, but I wasn't sure if they were.

'So, where did Sensei find you three?' Kai asked.

'Let's just say if it wasn't for Sensei Wu, I don't think we'd ever been seen together. I was testing my limits.' Cole said and then there was a flashback (somehow) of Cole climbing a tall mountain, with Wu drinking some tea at the top of it, and probably surprised Cole.

'I was testing my invention.' Jay says, and in another flashback, he is shown to be testing his gliders, which were working well. Unfortunately, he crashed through a billboard, noticing Wu next to it, again drinking tea, after the accident. I laughed at it, it was so stupid.

'And I was testing myself.' Zane says, in another flashback, yet again, he is meditating under a frozen pond. He loses focus and starts struggling for air upon noticing Wu, again drinking tea, what is it with my Uncle and tea? Underwater as well? Eh, screw logic. He was apparently also underwater the whole time.

'What about you, (Y/N)?' It was Cole, asking hesitantly.

'Hmm, what?' I asked, yeah, I spaced out.

'How did Sensei find you?' It was Kai this time.

'Oh yeah, I've lived at the monastery my whole life, my mother left me there.' I replied.

'No wonder why, you're the Master of Death, who would want you?' That was just mean, Jay.
