Synopsis
The Marleyain scientists have been searching for a long time the secret behind the titan shifter and what made them tick plus a way to obtain that power for their people.
They have done multiple inhuman experiments to orphaned Eldian children which have yielded zero results. The children underwent multiple physical and mental torture disguised as training before being cut open to see what makes them special.
With their experiments yielding no results and being told to shut down the project by the higher-ups they decided to try something a theory they had. On one stormy night at the top of one of their facilities, they strapped 9 children on metal beds that raised up.
8 of the 9 had a small bottle, strapped to their chests, containing spinal fluid extracted from the 8 titan shifters they had while the 9th had all 8. They watched as one after the other lightning struck them killing the 8.
The 9th however was struck by a red listening bolt more powerful than the others which blew up half of the facility taking some scientists with it.
When the remaining scientists went through the rubble they found the 9th child unconscious but still intact. Checking her field name came up as Kira Yukimura.
