Chapter Two

"Happy Birthday!" mom, dad, Lukas, and Casey screamed bursting into my room the next morning.

"Ughh," I groaned, "five more minutes." I said turning around and burying myself into my lace duvet.

"Come on," Mom said, "I made your special breakfast, birthday pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast, with a yummy glass of orange juice."

That got me right up. "I'll be down in a few Mom." I said getting up and heading to my bathroom.

"Okay sweetie." she said walking out.

I walked into my bathroom and looked at my reflection in the mirror. I wiped my makeup off from the previous night, and put my hair up into a high bun.

I walked into my wardrobe and grabbed my sweatpants and put on my blue Hollister sweatshirt, walking out of my room and down stairs.

"Good morning everyone." I said smiling at the other mates with their kids, walking to the kitchen.

"Good morning. Happy Birthday!" they said smiling and waving.

"Thank you." I said.

"Hey sweetie." Dad said kissing my forehead and sitting on the stool, reading his newspaper like always.

Mom set my food in front of me and my glass of orange juice.

"Thanks mom." I said eating and taking a sip.

"You're welcome baby." She said kissing my cheek and drinking her coffee.

"Good morning sis." Casey said coming up and kissing my cheek sitting next to me.

"Morning." I said looking at her.

"Are you ready to find your mate?" Said said excitedly looking me straight in the eyes and shaking my shoulders.

"To be honest, yes. But what if he rejects me?" I said really hoping he doesn't.

"He won't, you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, besides mom of course." She said hugging me and getting a cup of coffee.

wiping a tear from my face, "I love you so much!" I said hugging her.

"Yeah yeah I love you too, now go get ready, we're going shopping." She said walking up stairs.

"Okay!" I said taking my last bite of breakfast and drinking the rest of my orange juice.

I ran up stairs and walked into my wardrobe.

I picked out black lace high waisted shorts from charlotte russe, and my maroon hollister crop top that says "live life" on the front in black letters, with my black converse.
