The news of Elsa's engagement to Dylan had spread like wildfire through the kingdom of Arendelle. Everyone seemed to be celebrating the upcoming union of their beloved queen with the charming suitor. But amidst the joyous atmosphere, two winter souls couldn't help but feel a profound sadness.
As Jack Frost heard the news, his heart sank. The realization that he might lose Elsa, the one he had grown so fond of, hit him hard. He found himself wandering to the balcony of the castle, hoping to find solace in the cool breeze.
Unbeknownst to Jack, Elsa was also lost in her thoughts on the very same balcony, contemplating her unwanted situation. She didn't want any of this, but the grand council insisted that she must be with a king for the sake of the kingdom's stability. As she gazed into the night sky, a melancholic expression painted her features.
Then, without warning, Jack appeared beside her. His heart skipped a beat at the sight of Elsa, but his sadness overwhelmed him, making it difficult to express how he truly felt. He decided to approach the subject lightly, teasing her about getting married.
"So, I heard congratulations are in order," he said playfully, though there was a hint of pain in his voice.
Elsa managed to respond with a playful tone, concealing her true feelings for him. "Why, thank you, Jack. I suppose I'll be off the market now."
Silence settled between them, each lost in their own internal struggle. Jack couldn't bring himself to say what he truly felt—that he wished it were him standing by her side. And Elsa, too, couldn't express the turmoil in her heart, torn between her feelings for Jack and the council's expectations. He mustered the courage to congratulate her sincerely, even though it pained him to do so. "Dylan seems like a good man. I'm sure he'll take good care of you."
Elsa smiled sadly, appreciating his kindness. "Thank you, Jack. That means a lot to me."
In their minds, they couldn't believe they were losing each other. Elsa wanted to cry, but she knew she had to hide her true feelings. Trying to steady her emotions, she looked at Jack and asked softly, ""Will you still stay with me, Jack? Even after all of this?"
Jack hesitated for a moment, but when he looked into Elsa's eyes, he knew he couldn't bear to leave her, even if it meant seeing her with someone else. He smiled gently, taking her hand in his, and reassured her,
"You don't need to worry," he said, forcing a smile. "I won't be going anywhere."
Elsa's heart swelled with gratitude and sorrow at the same time. She couldn't imagine facing the future without Jack by her side. She threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly, not wanting to let go. She knew this might be the last time she could embrace him like this, and she wanted to cherish every moment. Jack held her close, feeling the warmth of their embrace, silently promising himself that he wouldn't let go either, even if it hurt.
As he started to pull away, Elsa clung to him, tears welling up in her eyes. She begged him quietly, "Please, don't let go just yet."
Jack's eyes also watered, and he nuzzled his head against her shoulder, holding her tightly. They both knew that they were treading on thin ice, but in that moment, they found solace in each other's arms, cherishing the love they had for as long as they could.
"I won't," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "I won't let go."
