"Akai! Say mama! You can do it!" It's been a few months since I was reborn in this world. My mother is currently trying to get me to speak.
However, this pathetic baby body refuses to listen and the only thing I've been able to vocalize has been nothing but baby noises!
"Come on Akai! You can do it!" My mother said to me. We're in the bedroom right now, my father went off to work so it's just me, my mother, and a few servants and guards home.
(*Baby blabbing.*)
'This shit isn't fair! Why can't I talk!?'
"That's it Akai! You can do it~!" My mother's joyful magenta colored eyes looked into mine.
"Mama!"
My mother immediately picks me up and squeals.
"You said it! You said "mama!"" My mother shouts happily.
The head maid Adelaide bursts into the room. "Is everything alright!?" The brown haired maid asked.
"Adelaide look!" Mother holds me out to the other woman. "Akai said her first word! Akai, say it again-!"
(*Cough! Cough!*)
Suddenly my mother starts coughing violently making Adelaide hold me and help my mother onto the bed.
"You mustn't stress yourself my lady."
"I know, I know..." My mother says wiping what looks like black liquid from her lips with a hankichef from Adelaide. "I couldn't help but get excited hearing my baby speak for the first time."
Adelaide sighed and handed me back over to my mom. "I understand that, but still. Please take it easy, your illness has been spreading faster lately."
'Illness...?'
"I know," Mother looks down at me in her arms. "I want to spend every second I have left watching my daughter grow up."
'Shes not gonna die right…?'
