4. Can't wait for our wedding!

Samaira's Pov:

"Didi come fast, it's time for veneration." Pratya called me.

"Coming Pratya!" I replied back doing my final touch up. I looked at the mirror amd smile being satisfied with my look.

I went downstairs to attend the veneration.

"Ohhoo dii, itna taiyaar toh aap jiju ke liye hi huye ho na. (Dii, you have dressed up so well for brother-in-law, right?)" Pratya teased me.

"Shut up" I said chuckling.

We started the veneration with all the rituals for lord ganesh and goddess laxmi. After completion of the veneration, I kept diyas all round the house to light it up. I and Pratya made a peacock rangoli at the entrance of our house.

Now our family was waiting for Arsh and Kartik's family. Our families are friends even before our birth and that made three of us to become friends since childhood. I, Arsh and Kartik have been in the same class since nursery. I and Arsh have always been best friends since then and my bond with Kartik was always like this. We always tease and fight with each other, but we are good friends and we know that even if we fight a lot but we will always be there for each other. Kartik was always been a shipper of me and Arsh.

I heard car's horn making me believe that they have reached. I with parents went outside to welcome them. I and Pratyusha was standing behind our parents. I saw Arsh and Kartik coming.

"Arsh is looking so handsome." I said dreamingly.

"Kartik as well." I heard Pratya and before i vould turn towards her she moved from there. Something something.

All the families greeted each other 'happy diwali' and settled in our house. Everyone had a chitchat.

"Samaira beta go and bring sweets for the guests." My mother ordered me and I nodded.

I went to the kitchen and started arranging sweets. I was busy doing my work when someone turned me around.

"Looking so hot Ms. Samaira Kaushik." Arsh smirked at me. I threw my arms around his neck.

"You too Mr. Utkarsh Agarwal." I winked at him.

"Maar dala (you killed me!)" He said putting his palm on his heart and I chuckled.

"Now move I have to take the sweets outside." I asked him.

"I will but first let me have my sweet." He said hugging me. I reciprocated the hug.
He pulled away from the hug and smashed his lips on mine. I kissed him back passionately. He cupped my face, pouring all his love for me into the kiss and i smiled in the kiss.

I pulled away panting for air. I hid my face in his chest shying. He wrapped his arms around me.

After he left me, i went outside with the plate of sweets in my hand.

"What made you take so much time, bh...Samaira?" Kartik smirked at me, earning a death glare from me.

"Wo I got some important work." I said nervously looking at everyone. They smiled as if they knew that was that "important work".

Suddenly Mr. Agarwal spoke up " we met priest yesterday and he told that 12th of this month i.e after 5 days is an auspicious day for marriage. So we want Samaira and Utkarsh wedding to held that day. What do you think Mr. Kaushik?"

"It would be great Mr. Agarwal." My father said smiling at Utkarsh's dad.

"Then let's do the haldi ceremony on 10th and sangeet on 11th. And the wedding will be on 12th." My mother announced and all nodded.

"Woww didu aur Utkarsh bhai ki shaadi." Pratya exclaimed. Arsh raised his eyebrows at me and I blushed. I was really happy after listening to the news. I can't wait for our wedding.

Pratyusha's Pov:

I don't know why but I'm so happy that Kartik is here. Many times in between I felt his gaze on me which made my heart flustered.

When I went to add kerosene oil in the diyas, I saw kartik coming towards me.

"Thank you for accepting my friend request" he whispered from behind. I did not turned behind because I didn't wanted him to notice me smiling widely.

"You are welcome." I replied while continuing my work.

"You are looking beautiful today" He complimented me. Gosh I can't, I was blushing really hard.

"Thank you" I said which came out more like a whisper.

"Let me help you". He said and started helping me. I was staring at him all the time.

After doing the work, he came infront of me. His eyes finding his way directly to my eyes. Suddenly fireworks started in the sky. We looked up and saw one of the most beautiful sight from the top of my house.

Utkarsh's Pov:

I was standing in the balcony. I was really happy with the news of your wedding. I can't wait to marry the love of my life. I had waited for this day since a long and now it's just a few days more. Then Aira will be mine forever.

I was thinking about it when someone hugged me fron behind. I turned around and hugged her back.

" Just 5 days, then you will be Mrs. Samaira Utkarsh Agarwal." I broke the hug and kissed Samaira's forehead.

"I love you Arsh" she said hugging me back.

"I love you more Maira." I hugged her tightly.

We stayed like that and suddenly the fireworks started in the sky.
