Utkarsh's Pov
Yesterday our engagement happened magnificently. I looked and my ring and smiled. I was doing my work in the Agarwal Enterprise. I'm the CEO of my company. I was working when someone barged into my cabin without seeking my permission and I knew that there are only two persons who would do it, Samira and Kartik. I looked up to meet Kartik's grinning face. He was grinning while looking into his phone.
He sat beside me and I peeped into his phone 'Friend Request Accepted' 'Pratyusha Kaushik'. I smirked.
"Something something" I teased him while smirking at him.
"Nothing nothing" he looked at me and kept his phone in his pocket.
I continued teasing him when someone barged into my cabin while singing 'Surprise'. I looked up and my gaze fell on Maira and I found her glaring at Kartik. I let out a small laugh but closed my mouth like a fish when Aira looked serious, earning a glare from her.
"Kartikkkkkk! Why you always have to spoil our moment? I thought I will go and surprise Arsh and we will do lunch together." Samaira shouted at kartik and pouting angrily.
"You missed ALONE." Kartik said, emphasising the word 'alone' and earned a glare again from her.
"But now as I'm here, I will join you guys in lunch." Kartik said smirking and Samaira rolled her eyes.
They fight like tom & Jerry whenever together. Sometimes I feel like a third person here. I rolled my eyes.
"Okay guys stop! I'm hungry." I said and we ate while chit chatting. Then Aira went back to her office. She's work in the Kaushik Enterprise whose CEO is her own brother, Sameer. Our business had work as partners many times and we financially support each other whenever required.
I looked at Kartik. "Did you ever had any work in your life? Why are you always so free?" I asked in an irritated tone and he showed me his middle finger and whispered something, which I understood perfectly. Well, he's a reputed lawyer of our city. He perfectly accomplished his dream and does his work seriously always.
I continued with my work with a 6' feet of disturbance, which I successfully ignored all the times.
The sun already disappeared and it was the moon staring at us from the sky. I drove back to my house and kartik went back to his. I greeted my family a happy evening amd went to my room to get fresh. I took a warm bath and changed into night dress. I lied on the bed and my phone pinged. I took my phone in my hand and saw the incoming video call of Maira. I slid the green button to receive the call. I kept my phone infront of me.
"Hey Arsh." She said in a happy tone.
"Hey sweetheart. How was your day?" I asked her.
"It was amazing. By the way are your plans for tomorrow? Don't tell me you forgot that tomorrow is diwali." She questioned excitingly.
"Actually I did" I said smiling sheepishly. "I have an important meeting tomorrow Maira. I'll have to attend it." I said simply and found her pouting grumpily. I chuckled.
"With you before 7, I promise" I said smiling and she grinned.
I kept on talking to her for an hour. It made all my stress and tiredness go away at once. She a stress reliever for me. Sometimes i think that i would have been nothing without her. Since the time she's in my life, everything seems well. I slept with her thoughts playing on my mind and later i was called for dinner.
