Ruby was as cheerful as she always was, "I'm gonna be like mama!"

Aqua softly smacked Ruby on the head with a calm and gloomy face, "Talking about your dreams is fine, but high school entrance exams are fast approaching."

You had sat yourself beside Ruby on the table with a bowl of ramen. "You're going to do great as an idol, ruby." You encouraged gently, before separating your chopsticks.

"I'm going to the directors place." Aqua said, wearing his shoes and leaving.

You simply sigh, "Is he in his emo arc? He's so distant."

"He's definitely emo." Ruby agreed with you and sighed. You always used to spend time with Aqua but now you're with your silly little sister, what changed?

"Ever since mama has been murdered by some shady guy she opened the door to, Aqua has changed. He has a gloomy face all the time and never seems to have fun. *Turns to you.* Y/n remained the same like last time. Calm, gentle, and simply just a people pleaser." Ruby thinks to herself.

She wasn't wrong. You are a people pleaser, in this book and in real life.

You couldn't help but notice her staring at your noodle bowl. "Uwansum?" You asked. "Maybe." Ruby says, crossing her arms and pouting, expecting for food.

You smiled faintly with your eyes closed, "There's chicken cup noodles in the third cabinet in the kitchen, you can grab some and make them."

"*Cough.* *Cough.* I'm not a chef, I don't know how to cook the cup noodles!" Ruby says, slightly embarrassed now as she poked both of her index fingers together. (👉👈)

You were 'slightly' flabbergasted and 'accidentally' gasped in terror of what she said.

"Just pour hot water over the noodles, put something on the lid to cover it up and wait for a few minutes then eat."

"Unfair! When I see you with other people, you always help them! Why don't you want to help your scrumptious little sister?" Ruby complained childishly, causing you to sigh heavily.

You stood up from your chair and made cup noodles for her. "There. It's still a little hot so-" "AAAAAACK!" Ruby sticks her tongue out to cool it down.

She was clearly being dramatic because you already made sure it wasn't that hot, you just had to warn her and she acted like she tasted a volcano.

"Eat well, I guess." You say, sitting yourself down on the comfortable couch and taking out your phone.

Miyako and Ruby were discussing about things that you didn't really want to listen in on. The phone rang.

"Speak of the devil." Miyako smirks. "I'll get it! Hello?" Ruby answers the call. You observed her carefully.

Her smile turns into a frown.

You turned to Miyako worriedly, "What happened to her?" "Judging by her reaction, her results to the audition she's signed up for turned out..Bad." Miyako replied.

A sigh escaped your mouth. Both you and Miyako comforted Ruby. "Ruby..." You called out softly.

"That's reality for you." Miyako says, hugging her from behind. I simply put my hand on her shoulder, not that used to hugs anymore.

"You got scouted?!" You, Aqua and Miyako yelled in unison, genuinely shocked.

Ruby grinned happily, "Yeah! By one of those underground groups! I feel like this has gotta be fate!"
