Happy new year! (Ft. Tamakoma)

"Happy new year everyone!" Shiori exclaimed from the kitchen, she brought the food to the table where everyone was gathered at.

"Happy new year to you too, Shiori-san," Chika said.

"Look at the time! 2 more hours until the next year, let's start eating, there's going to be fun games later on," Shiori announced, and was replied with tons of cheers and excitement.

"Hey Yuma, this is your first new year right?" Osamu poked Yuma's shoulder, and he nodded.

"So, what's so special about another year?" Yuma asked with his usual duck face. He studied the food that was placed before him, it was more than usual. Okay, that's an understatement, it's way more than usual.

"Well, we celebrate the upcoming year and wish for the best, that's it," Osamu whispered into Yuma's ear, to which he received a nod.

"What are you guys waiting for? Dig in!" Shiori said, as she took her chopsticks and started eating, everyone followed.

"This is good, what's it called?" Yuma asked, pointing at the yellow goo.

"That's Kurt Kinton, it's made from sweet potatoes and kuchinashi no mi mainly," Osamu explained, Yuma continued to nod.

Osamu nodded back and started eating again, there was a lot of food. Datemiki, mochi, Ozouni, etc. he started to doze off as usual.

O-sa-mu! You alright?" Yotaro Asked from behind. He was riding on Reijinmaru. "Give me one of those red-bean pancakes, there," he demanded. Osamu grabbed one and handed it to him. "Thanks."

"Huh, where's Jin-san?" Shiori Asked, the entire Tamakoma just realized that the power elite was missing. How could they have forgotten?

"I'll go call him," Kyosuke said, and proceeds to get his phone out of his pocket and dials Jin's number.

"Power elite, Jin here! What's up?" Jin said with his usual 'annoying' voice.

"It's a new year, where are you? You should be in Tamakoma right now," Kyosuke reminded, "did you forget?"

"Nope! Yuiga, from Tachikawa-san's squad, is in the hospital currently due to an 'unfortunate' accident. Tachikawa is forced to stay and look after him, I'm there for company. I'll be back when activities start, promise! Now enjoy yourselves, we have Toshikoshi Soba with us so no need to bring anything," Jin explained. Of course, he's there for company, why wouldn't he?

"Alright then, you better be back before New Year."

"Of course, of course!" And Jin hung up.

"So where is he?" Shiori questioned, as she turned her head towards Kyosuke, who replied with a sigh.

"Keeping Tachikawa-san company in the hospital, after this 'Yuiga' got into some sort of accident. He said he'll be back when the activities start."

"We'll leave him alone then, let's finish up the food and get to the fun part!"

"First activity is-"

"I'm back!" Jin shouted while slamming the door wide open, "Seems like I'm right on time." He winked.

"Welcome back Jin-san, take a seat we're starting," Shiori ushered Jin to sit on the sofa, "these activities will be done in two teams, the winning team gets a special prize! Of course, randomized teams."

Shiori went to her room and took out a cup with sticks in them. Each stick had a name written on it. "We get two captains, and the captains take a stick in turns, whoever's name is written on it will join their team! Yotaro and Raijinmaru count as one. I'll pick the captains." Shiori explained.
