"Protogon turned Nightcrawler" - a K.P. Story

Chapter 3: The Reunion

August 4th, 2036

It's been at least a few days since the blackout ended, Kentagi was kind enough to let Protogon and the others stay with him. Kentagi also tends to the other Gootraxians. a lot of the Gootraxians were badly injured during the blackout, Protogon couldn't really believe it because it felt so unreal. Why would LAMINAX make these things yet hurt them like this? Well, Protogon never knew LAMINAX made them until Kentagi had explained that they were made by LAMINAX, Protogon was said to be probably one of the most rarest Gootraxians to ever walk the halls of LAMINAX Laboratories. Protogon had no idea he could be so lucky to have gotten those goggles. But, why him? Why did Protogon have to be plagued with these goggles? Could Protogon ever return to surface world looking like this? Protogon just looked at his paws.. which had gloves on, which looked like it was cool. He heard his phone buzz, he quickly took it out, seeing that Jade was texting him about Kentagi having a meeting with him and Zharakan. Protogon headed to that meeting so he could listen. about a few minutes later, Protogon arrived. "Glad you could make it, Protogon." Kentagi said, Protogon smiled and waved. "Well, I should fill you in. You, Jade and Zharakan are not really the safest here." Kentagi began, before taking a sip from his water. "The Lead Nightcrawler, Or as he's known as the 'Sadistic Nightcrawler' is currently hunting for you and your friends." Kentagi said. Protogon scratched his head. "Why should we be scared about some edgy Nightcrawler?" Protogon asked. Kentagi sipped from his water again. "He's the leader of the Nightcrawler Legion, most of where the Goggled Nightcrawlers are from. He has four eyes, and has five goggles instead of three, He is about 7'5" tall, he's hella muscular, EXTREMELY sadistic, he killed many Goggled Nightcrawlers.. and well, he found out you exist, and now he's sending Nightcrawlers and those Nightcrawlers are bringing minions to deal with you, Protogon.." Kentagi finally finished. Protogon just had no words. He sat there with his jaw wide open. probably taking a bit to process what the actual hell he was just told. While Protogon was sitting there an alarm blared, that meant the Goggled Nightcrawlers were invading. "Search the ENTIRE area for Protogon! NOW!" NC-9210 shouted. "Yes sir!" Minion-3401, Minion-9132, and Minion-4512 said in unison. The Nightcrawler Minions began searching. "Come on! through this escape route. You'll be headed toward the support caves through this!" Kentagi said as he ushered Jade, Zharakan and Protogon into it and closed it up. Kentagi knew any second the injured Gootraxians in the camp would be killed so he went to fight the oncoming Nightcrawlers to keep the camp safe.

--SUPPORT CAVES--

After a bit of running, Zharakan made it out first. It appears Kentagi had called Humans for some backup as the 'Nightcrawler Exterminators' were running in the direction of the LAMINAX Garden Cave. Protogon kept his distance until they left. "Alright lets split up and meet at the Crystals Caverns in an hour." Jade suggested. Protogon didn't really like that idea. Zharakan blinked slowly. "And how is that a good idea?" Zharakan aggressively asked. Jade sighed and kept to himself and just went to do something else. "... I guess we're splitting up." Protogon said with a very confused tone, then walked away. "..I will be somewhere. I'll be in the Crystal Caverns in an hour.. I guess." Zharakan said. Protogon sighed to himself and sat down. "Ugh.. Why can't I remember how I got here..?" Protogon asked to himself. He then heard footsteps. "Huh..?" Protogon slowly got up, on alert. Then he blinked, now he was in a different area. Then, he saw two armored people carrying.. ..Protogon? "What the.." Protogon asked himself before blinking again and seeing that a Slime hound was standing infront of him. "Well, what are YOU staring at me for??" the Slime hound asked. "What? I was just.. in.. a different area..?" Protogon started then asked confusedly. the Slime hound blinked. "You got a memory too, huh?" the Slime hound asked. "I mean a part of it.." Protogon said. "You'll get used to it.. The names Pot." Pot said. Protogon held back a bit of laughter. "Yeah, yeah, laugh it up.. It was my human name." Pot said. Protogon swallowed his laughter SOMEHOW and sighed. "Hey, yeah sorry.." Protogon said. Pot nodded. "So, what is your name?" Pot asked. Protogon sighed. "..Protogon." Protogon replied. Pot blinked. "Interesting name." Pot said. Protogon nodded. "Well, I gotta get going. My boyfriend wants me to watch our child." Pot said as he got going. Protogon ran off.
