As the heroes finally reached the darkened cell where Izuku was held captive, their hearts sank at the sight before them. The once vibrant and determined young hero now appeared frail and broken, his body covered in wounds, and his eyes haunted by pain.
Iida gasped in shock, Uraraka's hand covered her mouth, and Todoroki's eyes welled up with tears. The reality of what Izuku had endured for days was too much to bear.
Bakugou's temper flared, and he clenched his fists tightly, his voice seething with anger. "The damn villains did this to him," he growled, unable to hold back his emotions.
Kirishima placed a hand on Bakugou's shoulder, trying to calm him down. "Bakugou, we need to clear a path for Aizawa-sensei and Izuku," he said, concern lacing his voice.
"No! I'm not leaving him here!" Bakugou snapped, his fiery determination refusing to back down.
Aizawa turned to Bakugou, his eyes unwavering as he spoke sternly, "We don't have time for this. I need you to clear a path for us. Izuku needs you to protect him."
Bakugou's anger softened, replaced with a mix of frustration and helplessness. He couldn't bear to see his childhood friend in such a state, but he also knew that Aizawa was right. He couldn't let his emotions get in the way of the rescue mission.
With a heavy heart, Kirishima stepped forward and placed a gentle hand on Bakugou's shoulder, "Bakugou, we'll help him, but we need to listen to Aizawa-sensei. Let's do this for Deku."
Reluctantly, Bakugou nodded, his jaw clenched. He wanted nothing more than to stay by Izuku's side, but he knew that protecting him meant creating a path for Aizawa to carry him to safety.
The rest of the group reluctantly followed Kirishima's lead, clearing a path for Aizawa and Izuku. Once they were alone, Aizawa approached Izuku slowly, his heart aching at the sight of the young hero he had come to care for like a son.
He gently knelt beside him and wrapped his arms around the broken boy, pulling him close. "Izuku," Aizawa whispered, his voice filled with sorrow, "you're not alone anymore. We're here, and we're going to get you out of here."
Izuku clung to Aizawa, his body trembling with a mix of relief and despair. "I-I thought I'd never see you again," he choked out between sobs.
Aizawa held him tighter, his own voice breaking, "I'm so sorry, Izuku. I should have been there sooner."
"No, it's not your fault," Izuku whispered, tears streaming down his cheeks. "I thought I was going to die here. I wanted it to end."
Aizawa's heart shattered at those words, realizing the depths of Izuku's pain and despair. They remained in each other's embrace, the weight of their emotions filling the air around them.
As Aizawa held Izuku in his arms, he felt a growing sense of urgency. He had seen the injuries on Izuku's body when they first found him, but now, as he looked closer, he noticed that the gash on Izuku's side had reopened, and he was bleeding out.
"Stay with me, Izuku," Aizawa urged, his voice laced with worry. He pressed his hand against the wound, trying to slow down the bleeding, but he knew that they needed medical attention urgently.
Izuku's breaths were shallow, and he seemed to be slipping in and out of consciousness. "I-I'm sorry, Sensei," he whispered weakly, his voice barely audible.
"No, don't apologize. You're going to be okay," Aizawa reassured, trying to keep his own panic at bay. He knew that every second counted, and they needed to get Izuku to safety as soon as possible.
With determination in his eyes, Aizawa carefully lifted Izuku into his arms and started to make his way back through the maze-like hideout. His heart raced with each step, knowing that Izuku's life was hanging in the balance.
As he navigated the dimly lit corridors, Aizawa's mind raced with thoughts of what they had endured in the past days. He couldn't let Izuku's strength go to waste. He had to get him out of there and give him a chance to heal.
Izuku's eyelids drooped, and he struggled to keep his eyes open. "I can't... I'm so tired," he mumbled, his voice barely audible.
"Don't give up, Izuku. We're almost there," Aizawa urged, his heart breaking at the sight of his exhausted student.
Finally, they reached the exit of the hideout, and the fresh air hit Aizawa's face, giving him a renewed sense of hope. But he knew that their journey wasn't over yet.
As he stepped out into the night, he saw the rest of the heroes waiting anxiously for their return. Their eyes widened at the sight of Izuku's condition, and Kirishima rushed forward to help.
"We need to get him to a hospital," Aizawa said, his voice firm, yet filled with concern.
Without wasting any time, the group of heroes formed a plan to transport Izuku to safety. Each moment felt like an eternity as they raced against time to save him.
