Something I wanna clear up rq: Y/N is meant to be just another character in the book. She plays a side part, while also simultaneously slightly changing the story a bit. But the main point is for her to just add to the story.
ALSO, just because she says she imprints in someone doesn't exactly mean she did....
The only definitive is that Jasper and Alice are her mates, cause they are otp.
