Digimon: War of Evolution

Chapter 2

Everyone groaned as they woke up. "What happened?" Asked Holly as she woke first. "I don't know, but did anyone else hear what was roared before those explosions?" Asked Artemis. "Yeah it was Giga Cannon, but what's that?" Asked Suki. "Oh my gosh." Said Ember as she opened her pocked on her pocket and pulled out a Digimon card. "I knew it, Giga Cannon is the signature move of Machinedramon." Said Ember. "But ... that's impossible, Machinedramon and Digimon in general isn't real." Said Hailey. "Uhm I feel pretty real." Said a high squeaky male voice making them all spin around and their jaws dropped as there before them were six rookie Digimon. "Uh who are we looking at Ember?" Asked Hailey. She began looking through her cards. "Monodromon, Herrismon, Elecmon, Vorvomon, Jazamon, and Haguromon." She said as she matched each of the six Digimon in front of her to her cards. She put the extra ones away as the Digimon began approaching them as Ember looked at her cards for each of the Digimon in front of her so when Vorvomon crawled up her back she yelped from the sudden realization and tossed her cards in the air. "Oh sorry, I'm Vorvomon your partner." He said smiling. "I'm so pleased to meet you, I'm Ember." She said as she picked her cards up before putting them away.

"So, we're actually talking with Digimon, this is nuts." Said Artemis as his Hagurumon partner stared up at him. "Wait ... oh my gosh." Said Yuki as she ran outside. "Hey! Wait up partner!" Yelled Herrismon as he ran after her. The others soon followed and all of their jaws dropped as off in the distance where they'd seen the battle were two large craters. "Oh my gosh, guys what we saw were dinosaur Digimon being totally destroyed by Machinedramon." Said Yuki as she stared at the craters. "Yeah, there have been hundreds of once peaceful areas destroyed like that over this war." Said Elecmon as he stared out over the ruined plains. "What war?" Asked Suki. "It'll be easier if we start from the beginning." Said Monodromon.

"Years and years ago here in the digital world, we had peace and tranquility as everyone was getting along machinery and biological based Digimon coexisted perfectly, but then two Digimon ruined it." Started Jazamon. "Their names were Machinedramon and Megidramon, they both believed that the other was stifling their potential and from their arguments chaos and mistrust began forming and soon lines were drawn between Digimon." Said Hagurumon. "Digimon who were of the Android, Cyborg, Machine, Rock, and Undead types all aligned themselves with Machinedramon while those of the Beast, Dinosaur, Plant, Insect, and Pyro types aligned with Megidramon, and now if you are lucky enough to find a Digimon who is aligned with neither side they are hunted down and either tortured into digivolving into a form for one side or the other, or they are destroyed and consumed by one of the generals that serve the megas." Said Vorvomon. "Generals, what do you mean by generals?" Asked Artemis.

"Well each Mega Digimon has chosen 3 of their most ruthless Ultimates to serve as their generals, and they all are just as dangerous as their leader." Said Herrismon. "Who are these generals?" Asked Ember as she pulled out all of her Ultimate cards. "Well if the roles haven't changed since we were put into slumber, Machinedramon's generals were Gogmamon who rules in the gemstone caverns, SkullBuluchimon who rules the graveyard icelands, and Tankdramon who rules the armory and assembly lines where more machine Digimon are made." Said Jazamon. "And Megidramon's generals are Gusokumon who rules the oceans with an iron claw, Entmon who rules over the forests and wastelands with his swarms of bugs and arachnids, and lastly Gokuwmon who rules over the beasts and beast man while also keeping an eye on the primary village which is where the digi eggs of those who follow Megidramon end up." Said Vorvomon as they then finished discussing the war and issues.
