EZRA

I speed walk to my car, with my feet completely damp from the mashy snow sliding against it. I ignore the fact that I know Rachel is following me, and slam my car door shut; open up the drawer in front of the passenger, and grab the half empty bottle of whisky. It's probably old by the color but I don't care. As I'm about to take a sip, there's a knock on the window and I notice it's Rachel.

I roll the window down, "What do you want? I'm not in the mood right now, Raya," I tell her without looking at her and take another gulp of whiskey, "I understand that you are pissed but I'm not letting you drive drunk,". She responds by walking to the other side of the car, and shakes the door handle. I unlock it, and she climbs in, "Switch,".

"What?".

"Switch. You smell like alcohol already. You don't need a place to pull you over? Don't you?" she yells, as her eyes squint of disgust that I take another sip before handing her the keys and getting out of the car. I brushed my hand along her waist, and my lips are inches to her cheek but she inches away. She signs before climbing in the driver's side. I do the same, slam the door and throw the empty bottle onto the snow, "I will be right back,".

Minutes later, she comes back with her jacks and purse then tosses them in the back, "We are driving back to the hotel," she says without hesitation. I continued looking at her and how sexy she looked driving my car from her lips parted to her hands slowly gliding against the wheel.

But right now, the color of her knuckles turning white from the grip, she looked like one of the many people who wanted to murder me underneath my sins. Sins that will be forgotten neither forgive even before Rachel. Any of it seems to be from ghosts from the past like The Christmas Carol.
