RACHEL

The rest of the car ride is completely without a single word or sound, until reaching over to the radio and start flipping through the radio channels but there's nothing to find. I glance at Ezra waking up from his slumber, all sleepy eyes and pulls out his phone, and opens up a Spotify playlist, "Play this," he says as connecting it into an aux cord and falls back to sleep. I smile at the radio from the similar coming on, it's probably some random song so I continue forcing on the road. A while later, I hear Ezra waking up with sleepy eyes, I jump a little as wondering why I'm always surprised when he asks for a drink or even why he wants to drink. I don't ask questions, the ones I desperately need answers to. I pull up to a parking spot, the bar door opens with three middle - aged men walking out with two of them carrying their friend who seemed to have too much to drink.

I put the car into park, and before I can even get a word out, I see Ezra already making his way to the tattoo shop. I shake my head, get out the car and catch up with him, "Hey, what's going on?" I grab his arm and he face me with a stone-cold look, "I don't want to talk. Don't make me talk and go back to the car, why don't you?" he says as pulling out his wallet, hands me forty bucks and he walks inside. I look at the money for a second, as much as I want to throw it at him, I just shove it into my bra then walk back in the car.

...

As I continue playing candy crush on my phone, I look at my phone to realize that he has been gone for the last twenty minutes; time flies by so fast when you are waiting for your boyfriend to walk out of a bar hopefully not as drunk as those men earlier and sober when crushing the game on your phone. But I know it's not going to happen. I take out the money that's still in my bra and put it inside my phone and make my way to the bar.

I open the door, and immediately smell strong alcohol and cigarettes, while searching for Ezra but everything becomes a haze from the amount of smoke that's blowing everywhere. I try my best to hold my best as I follow some people that are walking to a room in the back. There's a plastic curtain behind a tattoo shop with people on leather chairs to only cause their bodies with ink and pain. I walk further into the place to find a shirtless Ezra on his stomach and laying his head on his hand. He's facing the tattoo lady who is covered with tattoos and rainbow hair in space buns. I shake the feeling that I was stupid enough to even wait for him so he can get a fucking tattoo. I shouldn't just leave his ass alone and use the forty bucks for an uber and go back to the hotel. It's already too late when Ezra is turning his head and sees me standing here like the fool, I am then waving his hand to come over to him. I'm standing here all still like my feet are glued to the floor.
