"No you fucking dumb bitch!"

Minho fell back in defeat as he watched Hyunjin's hand grab hold of the lesser pile of cards. "Drink up Minho" He grinned in victory.

Changbin groaned, as he had lost. "You're too good at this fucking game" He scoffed. Hyunjin laughed "I am a pro at spit" He flexed his arm showing his biceps.

Changbin rolled his eyes as he took the bigger pile of cards. Seungmin, who was sitting on the couch poured out a shot of vinegar for Minho and handed it to him.

"You've lost the bet Minho" He winked. Minho scoffed before downing the shot, the agonising sting of vinegar didn't sit well with his mouth, throat or stomach as it felt like pure acid in his system.

"Changbin, do better" Minho glared. Changbin scoffed "I'm trying! It's not my fault it was Hyunjin's fucking idea to add vinegar shots"

"Come on Changbin it's me. When is something like that not involved" Hyunjin grinned as he laid out his cards again for the next go.

Changbin sighed and swapped places with Minho. "Ready to lose?" Hyunjin smirked. Minho rolled his eyes "I don't actually care"

They played another few rounds, everyone becoming tired but mostly Changbin and Hyunjin.

And now it hit 11pm, they all had to leave since Hyunjin's parents wouldn't allow a sleepover so close to back to school.

Even though it was a whole damn week til then.

Minho waved Hyunjin and his friends goodbye as he strolled over to his parents car. They were chatting with Hyunjin's mother.

She looked at Minho and smiled. "Thank you for letting me over Mrs. Hwang" Minho smiled. She nodded "Anytime Minho"

"Maybe a sleepover next time?" He suggested. She rolled her eyes and chuckled "Maybe"

"Come on Minho, we have to talk" His dad spoke. Minho then felt the god striking fear settle into his system.

They had to talk.

Talk about what?

He hated when parents did that. Like why did they have to be so secretive as if the thing they wanted to talk about was life threatening

It made Minho question if he had accidentally robbed a bank or had to be sent to prison - obviously he didn't - but the fear that he always got from that sentence made him think twice.

The car ride was silent for the first while until Minho's mother spoke up.

"How would you feel about having an exchange student stay with us for the year?" She asked.

Minho perked his head up from his phone. "What?"

"We're getting an exchange student" His dad repeated. "Is that okay with you?"

Minho blinked a couple times. "What?? No what why!?"

"Well money's tight.. And you wanted to go on that trip to Jeju this year.. So money has to pay-"

"I'll get a job"

"Not with your finals being this year Minho, you need to focus" His dad cut in. Minho groaned. "Its probably some weird Korea-obsessed girl isn't it"

Minho watched his parents look at each other. "No he's not" His mom sighed.

"Where is he from?"

"England"

"Oh for fucks sake" Minho groaned. "I bet he'll show up expecting prince treatment-"

"Lee Minho" His dad glared through the mirror. Minho sighed and leaned back in his chair. "I'm just saying"

His mother frowned. "Give him a chance Min, you don't even know the guy"

"He's probably some roadman" Minho stated as if it was some fact that made it worse.

"Why are we going to live with a white boy for a year? Isn't England kind of racist?"

"Minho, he's Korean" His dad sighed as they pulled into their house's driveway.

Minho opened his mouth "Oh" He mumbled.

"Wait. So he's Korean but lives in England?" He asked. His parents nodded. "And so if he wanted to do an exchange year... Why not move back to Korea?" He scoffed.

"Bros fucking dumb" he rolled his eyes as he got out of the car.

"There's just no talking to you lately" His dad glared as he got out of the front seat to look over at his son. Minho shrugged "Like there's ever talking to you" he scoffed as he walked up to the door to unlock it.

"But clearly you'll still take in this guy because you already decided to and not talk to me about it even though I also live in this house" Minho faced his parents.

His mom held a soft frown while his dad was fit to kill him.

"So, sorry for being angry that I wasn't included in the discussion" he rolled his eyes. "Goodnight" He walked into the house and up to his bedroom.

"He's fucking ridiculous" His father spoke. His mom patted his shoulder "Give him time.. You know it'll be weird for him" She shrugged "He's an only child after all"

The pair walked into the house closing the door behind them feeling the warmth instead of the cold night.
