The 4 VKs crouched outside the Museum, careful not to draw attention to themselves.

"Come on. Check your mirror," Mal ordered.

Evie panicked, and brought a hand up to her face, "Is my mascara smudged?"

"Yeah. And, hey, while you're at it, why don't you see If you can find us the wand?" Mal's voice rose to the slight yell at the end of her statement.

"Sure," Evie checked the mirror for the wand before leading them ahead. "This way."

"Hey," Jay stopped suddenly. "Where's Goldilocks?"

As if clockwork, Rihanna dropped from the trees above, landing in a crouch position.

Jay and Carlos did not scream in fright. No, they did not.

"What in God's name were you doing in the trees?!" Jay asked, waving his hands around dramatically.

"Um, checking for guards. Duh," She flipped her braids over her shoulder before walking to the door and looking through the window.

"There's just the one downstairs and 3 upstairs but they're all half asleep anyways."

The Vks followed her to look through the windows.

"That's your mother's spinning wheel?" Jay pointed at the simple-looking wheel that sat in the centre.

"Yeah, It's kinda dorky," Carlos laughed.

"It's magic. It doesn't have to look scary," Mal flipped through her spell book. "Magic spindle, do not linger. Make my victim prick a finger."

The VKs watched tensely as absolutely nothing happened.

"Impressive," Rihanna deadpanned.

Carlos faked a shiver, "I got chills."

"Okay, you know what? Prick the finger, prick it deep. Send my enemy off to sleep."

This time the guard walked toward the spindle and as he pricked his finger, he instantly collapsed.

"Not so dorky now, huh?" Mal slammed the book shut, sneering.

Looking at the closed door Jay walked backwards preparing to knock the door down himself, "Stand back."

Rihanna crouched down and taking a bobby pin from Evie quickly unlocked the door just as Jay ran through it.

"Ahh!" There was a loud thud as Jay hit the floor.

"Coming?" Rihanna walked past him, grinning down at the boy sprawled across the floor.

Carlos offered a hand, "Come on, Jay."

"I'm good," Jay slapped his hand away.

Carlos put his hands up in a surrender motion, "Just trying to help."

"Carlos!" Rihanna called.
