Chapter 2 - After hours

You hear the bell go off, signaling that it's 5:00, and time to close up. Almost immediately everyone starts cleaning up their own stuff and leaving. You were almost inclined to do the same, but you look to your right and you see Jamie, cleaning up the place all by himself as he always has to. You walk over to him and grab his shoulder and he looks at you.

You: "Jamie, take a break. Let me close up the place so you can be on time for your Dungeons and Dragons campaign, or whatever it's called."

He looks at you in a beaming smile.

Jamie: "Gee, thanks (Y/n)! Maybe I can finally plan for my players! I owe you (Y/n)!

You: "It's fine Jamie, you don't owe me anything."

He leaves the restaurant and you feel good about yourself.

After what seemed like an hour you finally finish cleaning up the place and lock it up. You were tired, and after a long day of work, you can finally wind down and relax in your car. It felt really nice, just listening to the music playing in the car. You couldn't help yourself but you were drowsy, and started to drift off to sleep...

You wake up in a field, shrouded in darkness as it was night. You get up and look around, seeing nothing all around you. All you can see is the tall grass all around you. You look over to your left as you can see a random street light turn on. Just in the middle of the field. No streets, no sidewalks, nothing. You thought that was strange and started walking over to it cautiously.

You: What the hell...?

You thought to yourself. You've never seen anything like this.

As you are walking towards the street light, you can see... a figure, materializing out of thin air in the light. You stop for a minute to examine the figure. It's a shadowy figure with fur milky white eyes, and a... canine skull? You are confused as this probably isn't something anyone else has seen.(I know this isn't how Scp-1471 works, but I don't care I'm doing this my way)

You wave at it to say hello. No reaction. It just stares at you with a blank expression. You are still trying to figure out what this thing is, and you can't think of anything close to what this thing is. You step a little closer, to the point where you're face to face with the creature.

You: "Hello? Can you hear me?"

It nods.

You: "Can you speak?"

Once again, just a blank stare. You just stand there for a moment, until your body felt numb and you start falling into an endless void...

You wake up in a cold sweat hearing your phone ringing. It's (F/n) calling you. You check the time. It's currently 7:23, and you realize you're late to the party that (F/n)'s at. You pick up the phone.

(F/n): "Finally! Now you decide to pick up the phone! Dude, where the hell are you?! The party started and I've been worried about where you are!"

You stay silent, still processing the dream you just had.

(F/n): "HELLO?"

Hearing this startled you and makes you jump.

You: "Sorry dude I was closing down the restaurant and it took longer than I thought it would."

(F/n): "Well get your ass over here! I've been standing here for almost half an hour waiting for you to get here."

You: "Alright I'll be there as fast as I can. See you in a couple minutes."

(F/n): "See ya."
