Alexander (P.O.V)
I quickly sat down on the edge of my bed as my memory flashed back to the day ten months ago that completely changed my life.
*** FLASHBACK 10 MONTHS AGO ***
I had spent the summer at an expressive arts camp with a few friends and arrived home to find my dad really nervous and uncomfortable about telling me something.
He was sitting in his lazyboy leather recliner with a drink in his hand tapping his foot, he'd been sitting like this for almost half an hour and still hadn't uttered a word. So much for something important to tell me.
"Jeso dad just spit it out already!" I slumped back into my chair exasperated waiting for his reply.
"I've been seeing someone" he stated boldly. Ok seeing someone what's the big deal with that.
"Ok, so what's she like?" I asked trying to be supportive. I mean it was a little weird since he'd always been single but hey it's normal for single dads to date.
"she's .. ehm .. I'm dating your mother!" he stuttered. Wait what I couldn't have heard him right. he looked at me sheepishly waiting for my response.
"my mother? As in my mother mother like I don't know who she is and you told me she lives in America mother?" I prattled like an idiot.
"yea .. well you see I kinda lied, shes been here the whole time." He stuttered.
"your both assholes!" I screamed. Leaning back on the couch.
Then it came to me, all the memories from when I was younger the ones he didn't like to talk about or explain.
"the little girl I used to ask about?" I whispered
"yes" he breathed "you have a ehm .. a sister"
"you really are an asshole dad, and my so called mother sucks ass" I deadpanned before stomping out the door and up to my room.
A little while later he was at my door taking up the entire entryway.
"their coming over for dinner, due any minute I thought I would warn you. Your sister didn't know about you being here or my relationship with your mother either. You will have to get used to it Alexander. We plan on moving in together really soon." He lectured before leaving me in my own misery.
I only had a few minutes of quiet before his shouting could be heard.
"Alexander their car is here get your ass downstairs now!"
I dragged myself out of bed and stumbled down the stairs to wait in the living room to meet my new found family.
However what happened next was the last thing I ever expected.
A beautiful delicate looking woman entered the living room, there was something strangely familiar about her features but I thought nothing of it, then the only person who could have made my day slightly brighter walked in behind her. Alexis, my Lexi.
"AJay!" she cried "what are you doing here?"
"Hey Lexi come ere" I answered opening my arms to catch her as she ran towards me. I picked her up slightly tightening my arms around her and swinging her around in circles before placing her back on her feet but still holding her close "God your exactly who I need right now, I've had the worst day ever." I whispered into her ear
"really me too" she sniffled slightly
"Why what's wrong?" I immediately forgot about my own problems and concentrated on Lexi she was more important.
