General's pov
Two days had passed and a new shift had started and everyone was already working on something, the guys on truck was sitting by the end of the apparatus floor and they where cleaning there tools. Vanessa was sitting in the back of the ambulance and she was working on with some inventory, Dawson had helped Vanessa but she was now walking over to the guys on truck and only to mess with the candidate.
Dawson - Yo, Peter Mills! My partner, Vanessa, she's been asking about you. Been talking about you all morning.
Otis - I heard she's a monster. Dude I know over at 19, he walked with a hitch for a week.
Mills - Ah, you guys are busting my balls.
He was a little interested but he didn't want the guys to know that, most of the guys that shows up at the firehouse has some sort of interest in Vanessa Boden.
Herrmann - Listen to me, kid. I just lost my house to foreclosure because I took a bath in the market. We're now living with my in-laws, which is two bedrooms shy of unpleasant. My wife won't take her birth control because the Pope said if she did, god would cry, so I'm not having any sex. So if there's any chance that I could live vicariously through you, it's literally all I got.
Dawson and Herrmann could see the way that Mills was looking in the direction of where Vanessa was sitting in the back of her rig.
The guys on truck and Dawson knew that this would end bad, which they only thought was more fun since Vanessa is the daughter of chief Boden and she is married to Matt Casey.
Mills - All right.
The candidate walked away from his teammates and instead he walked over to the ambulance where Vanessa was sitting and doing inventory.
Mills - Hey.
Vanessa - Hey.
Mills - I'm Peter Mills. Uh...Pete.
Vanessa - Uh-huh. Peter Mills. Can you hand me that box right there?
Mills - Uh, yeah.
He did exactly what Vanessa asked him to do without any hesitation.
Vanessa - Thanks.
Mills - So the little girl from the bridge accident, she okay?
Vanessa - You really are new, aren't you? Listen. We get 'em to the doctor best we can, and then we move on. It's the only way to make it here.
Mills - Uh, yeah Yeah.
He stayed silent for a few seconds before he started to talk again.
Mills - So, um... I was thinking....I mean, I was wondering... do you maybe wanna hook up for a beer or dinner or something?
Vanessa - Peter Mills, do you know who my dad and my husband is?
Mills - eh.....
He really didn't know what to say, he didn't know anything about Vanessa yet since this is his second shift here at firehouse 51.
Vanessa - my dad is Chief Boden and my husband is Matt Casey.
The guys that had messed with mills was now laughing and both Mills and Vanessa could here them laughing.
But the jokes stopped when chief Boden walked out on the apparatus floor and he wasn't happy but they all stayed quiet when they heard him speak.
Boden - Vanessa, Dawson. Which one of you put a needle in the girl's heart?
The two paramedics gave each other a look and they both knew that they where in trouble, Vanessa jumped out of the back of the ambulance.
Dawson and Vanessa followed chief inside of the firehouse, chief was waiting for his two paramedics by the tower.
