Chapter 6 (part 2)

Casey's pov
I was sitting in my quarters and doing some paperwork, bout half an hour ago Vanessa left my quarters because she had Dawson got a call.
As I was sitting in my quarters and doing some paperwork I heard a knock on my door which I had close, so u turned around in my chair to look at my quarters door. Chief Boden was standing outside of my quarters and holding my son in his arm, so I got up from my chair and I took a two steps closer to my door and I opened the door.

Casey - hey, buddy!

Jackson - daddy!

My son had a big smile on his face and he seems really happy to see me and I could see tent he was happy to be in his grandfathers arms as well.
Boden handed me Jackson and he had a fast grip on me when I had him in my arms, even if Jackson was over 1 year old I loved to have Jackson in my arms even if he can walk on his own.

Boden - The babysitter just dropped him off, she saw me in the common room and I told her that I outlined take Jackson to you.

Casey - thanks!

Boden - I can take Jackson and get him something to eat, if you have paperwork to do.

Casey - it's okay, I can take him. I'm almost done with the paperwork anyway.

Boden - okay.

I took a seat on my chair again but this time I had Jackson on my lap, Boden left me and Jackson in my quarters.
I just needed 10 minutes to finish up my paperwork and I knew that Jackson wouldn't want to sit on my lap for the next 10 minutes to see me fill some paperwork.

I got back up from my chair and I walked over to my bunk bed with Jackson and I placed him on my bed, Jackson's bag pack was next to my desk on the ground where chief had placed it.
In my sons bag pack he has an iPad that I had texted the babysitter about earlier to bring with Jackson to the firehouse, I took out the iPad that Jackson had in his bag and I walked over to my bunk bed and I gave Jackson his iPad to keep him distracted.

General's pov
About an hour had  passed and some of the guys was sitting in common room, Casey was sitting by the table with Herrmann, Cruz, Otis and Mills, Mouch was sitting on the couch with Jackson next to him  and they where watching some TV.

Dawson and Vanessa had pulled up on the apparatus floor less then a minute ago, the two paramedics jumped out of the rig and they both walked up to the doors that leads into the firehouse.
Vanessa and Dawson walked in to the common room, Vanessa saw her son sitting on the couch but he seemed totally distracted because of the tv.

Vanessa - hey, sweetie!

Jackson didn't even look up at his mother, he was so damn focused on the tv.

Dawson and Vanessa walked over to the rest of the guys, Vanessa was holding a pack of cupcakes tsar she and Dawson had bought for Herrmann.

Herrmann - What is this?

Vanessa had placed the pack of cupcakes in front of him on the table tour he was sitting by, the paramedics had heard what Herrmann had down and how he defended his coworkers and his chief.

Vanessa - We heard you represented, Herrmann.

Dawson - So, I'm gonna throw out a name.

Vanessa gave Dawson a look, Vanessa wasn't looking forward to hear what Dawson had to say and tell the guys about.

Dawson - Alex Dane.

Guys - Oh ho ho...Ow.

Mills - Wait, who?

Dawson - Vanessa's ex fiancé.

Cruz - they where engaged before Casey and she started to date.

Vanessa hated to talk or hear about her ex's and especially since she is happily married and has a son, and she really didn't like to talk about Alex Dane since she broke his heart.
