„Okay, here we go...", she turned around, yelling towards the kitchen, „You got the snacks ready, babe?"

„Yep!", he yelled back, „You wanted the popcorn and the... what else was it?"

„Uhm... we also got the pretzels, right?"

„Right... And, you want bubbly now or later?"

„I want bubbly when my verdict comes in."

„That's in, like", he quickly calculated in his head, „three and a half hours?"

„True...", then she gasped when she had an idea, „How about a beer? I haven't had a beer in forever."

„I love it!"

She heard glass clinking in the kitchen, then the door of the fridge falling shut.

Then, she saw him coming into the living room, carrying that beaming smile and those dimples that she had come to love so much, as well as a bowl of popcorn, a bag of pretzels and two bottles of beer.

„Oh wait, I'll help you!"

„No no, it's alright, sit down. What time is it?"

She checked her phone, and her eyes lit up. „It's six past midnight!"

„Oooooh, come on, let's see if it's already there", he replied while opening the beer bottles.

She switched on the TV, navigating to Netflix and squeaked: „New episodes, it says! They're up!!"

„Alright, hang on, let's get settled first."

He sat down on the couch, opening his arms for her such that she could snuggle up to him in front of the TV for their ‚Lincoln Lawyer' binge marathon.

Today, or rather, six minutes ago, Netflix released the last five episodes of the second season where Lana had played a crucial role alongside his title character of Mickey Haller, the Lincoln Lawyer himself, and not just any crucial role – but his twisted love interest as well.

It would be the first time that they'd watch any of the episodes together. They had already been dating four weeks ago, when the first part of the season had dropped, they pretty much hadn't ever stopped dating since that first night they went out together back in April after she had called him, it's safe to say they had hit it off right away.

But it hadn't been until quite recently that their relationship had reached an entirely different level. It had been her birthday, to be exact. When she had officially introduced him to all her closest friends as the new man in her life, and even the biggest skeptics among them couldn't help but fall in love with him as well. And then, he had surprised her with a special birthday getaway – and to say that it had been a life altering experience would have been an understatement.

He had taken her to a beautiful spa hotel in Napa Valley where they hadn't just enjoyed the treatments and the most delicious wine and food, they had also taken long hikes and sunset strolls, and they had talked and talked and laughed until their faces hurt, and when they had made love later at night, she had realized that she had never ever felt this close to any man ever before. All those little things he had prepared for her, and all those details he'd remember that she herself had even forgotten to have ever told him about, the attention and mindfulness that he showed her every single day were truly unlike everything she had ever experienced.
