The story was originally one of my entries for the Open Novella Contest 2023. For the Wattys, I have now completely reworked it from chapter 1 onwards and expanded it into a full novel :)

Originally the story was based on a prompt from the ONC: Here, I chose prompt #33:

"They had their arrow aimed at the back of their target, a perfect shot despite the crowded ballroom. With a deep, steady breath, they tightened the bowstring and prepared to let the arrow fly. But then their target turned and looked directly at them, spotting them in the eaves as if it had known they were there all along. The target blinked."

What better story to do this with than a new Adventure about the Great Legend of Robin Hood!? Everyone knows the story of the thief who stole from the rich and gave to the poor. Of the outlaw hero and his beloved, enchanting Marian. But what if everything was different than it was told?

The Queen of Arrows is a mixture of a medieval setting and elements of pure fiction. It is not a purely historical novel and is therefore, not 100% historically accurate. The story is only very roughly based on the legend of Robin Hood & his Merry Men.
