A Shocking Surprise

Chapter 3

It had been a few days since Dawn separated from Brock and Pikachu, and she was currently in the middle of the forest, preparing to train for the next contest and to introduce her other Pokémon to Spark.

"Okay everyone, time to come out." Dawn said, throughing the pokeballs up into the air and releasing Buneary, Pachirisu, Ambipom, Mamoswine, Spark, and Piplup.

"Pi Pika! Pikachu Pi Pika. (Oh thank Arcues she finally let us out of that thing! That was far too long in there)." Spark said, shivering and shaking out her bright yellow fur.

"Pachi Chi! Pachi Pachi. (It was the longest we've ever been in the pokeball)." Pachirisu said before noticing who she was talking too. "Pa pachi? (Who are you?)

Spark went to open her mouth to speak, but Dawn spoke up before she could even make a single sound.

"Hey everyone, I've got some bad news." She interrupted. "After I caught Spark there, we discovered that ash was missing."

This caused everyone to start panicking except for Spark, who could not be heard trying to explain what had happened over the screams and shouts of the other Pokémon.

Eventually though, Dawn had finished her explanation of everything that she knew of, and what the plan was.

"And so, because of all that going on, we will be on our own for awhile." Dawn explained, trying to get things back in order. "Now since Spark is new, we'll be practicing for the next contest with Ambipom. It's a double contest so Ambipom can help out both the contest and with Spark's training."

"Pika Pikapi. Pika Pi Pikachu. (But I am Ash, it's not my fault I got turned into a female Pikachu)" Ash muttered with an indignant huff.

"Pip Piplup Pip. (Don't lie. And what on earth are you talking about? Humans can't become Pokémon)" Piplup said, huffing and shooting an icy glare toward Spark before returning himself.

"Ambi Ambipom! Pom Pom. Ambi Ambipom. (And besides, not even Ash has bad enough luck to change that)." Ambipom added with a glare before walking to the spot to start practice.

Mamoswine and Buneary returned themselves as well without saying anything, while Pachirisu looked at Spark with narrowed eyes before hitting her with electricity, but instead of hurting it caused both of them to be dizzy as they got flashes of each others memories.

"Pachi. (It really is you)." Pachirisu said with a small gasp. "Pa pachi su pachi pa. (Yes! The electric memory share does not lie, but there is no way the others will believe us).

"Pi Pikachu Pikapi. (At least you know I am Ash) Spark said before Dawn started training, finding out that Spark knew Thunderbolt, Discharge, Iron Tail, Volt Tackle, Quick Attack, Thunder Punch, and Focus Punch.

They then spent a lot of time practicing and learning new moves, but while Dawn did not know what the problem between Spark and everyone except Pachirisu was al about, she was able to get them to work together to get past both the appeal and first battle rounds, but and the first battle round before losing in the second battle round of the contest.

Later that night, Spark decided that she would try and talk to the others again.

She wasn't really sure how well it would work, considering what had happened last time, but she had to try.

And so, with a deep breath to calm her nerves, Spark slowly reached up and gently tapped Ambipom's pokeball with the tip of her tail.

Upon pushing the small white button-shaped circle on the pokeball, Ambipom was released from the pokeball in a flash of bright blue light.

But upon seeing who had released her from the pokeball, Ambipom scowled and turned her head away.

Spark's ears dropped down in sadness, but nevertheless, she stared up at her former Pokémon partner with a pleading look on her face.

"Pika Pika! Pi Pikachu Pi Pikapi. (Ambipom, please, you've gotta believe me! I know it might not look like it to you, but I really am Ash)" Spark cried out in a pleading tone while franticly waving her paws around.

It was silent for a few minutes before Ambipom finally spoke up.
