A Poem For The Unbroken

In the depths of sorrow's abyss, I found myself lost,
A shattered soul, a broken vessel tossed,
By waves of pain and grief, that seemed so vast,
And in my despair, I thought my end was cast.

But then, a glimmer of hope, a flicker of light,
A voice that whispered, "Rise, O child of might,
Thou art not alone, thou art not forsaken,
For in thy heart, a fire doth awaken."

And so, with trembling steps, I walked the path,
Through the dark and treacherous valley of wrath,
Where demons and shadows lurked and sneered,
And every step, a battle to be feared.

But with each trial, my strength did grow,
And with each wound, my spirit did glow,
For I knew that in my heart, a flame did burn,
A light that would guide me to my return.

And so, I fought and struggled, day and night,
Through the tempests of pain and loss, I held tight,
To the hope that burned within my breast,
And the faith that gave me strength to pass the test.

Until, at last, I saw the light of day,
And the shadows and demons all fell away,
For in my heart, a fire did blaze,
And in my soul, a triumph did raise.

And now, I stand, a warrior born anew,
With scars that tell a tale of what I've been through,
But also, with a heart that beats with life,
And a spirit that knows how to survive.

For though the road was long and hard,
And though my heart was often scarred,
I know now that within me lies,
A strength that no storm can ever disguise.

So I walk on, with head held high,
And a heart that knows how to fly,
For I have overcome mine pain and flaws,
And in my victory, I have found my cause.
