You wake up to your alamr blaring in your ears. Your curtains are partly open and the sun is creeping into your room. It's 6:30 AM on a Tuesday morning. You quickly reach your arm over and turn off your alarm, shutting your eyes once again. You hear your door bust open. It's your mom. You fell asleep again and you groggily look at your alarm, it reads: 7:45 AM  You jolt up. Your mom is screaming at you for still being in bet. You have 15 minutes to get to school! "Why are you still in bed? Did you sleep through your alamr? I thought we talked about thins!" You have a headache and you feel dizzy from standing up so fast. You stumble to your closet and pull out a pink plaid skirt and a white cropped turtle neck from your closet whilst your mom is yelling at you "Are you even listening to me? You won't have any time for breakfast!" "OMG mom i GET IT!" You yell back, but realize that probably wasn't the best decision. Your mom is now fully screaming before she walks out and slams your door "UGH" you groan. She's been pesking you about unboxing your room for 3 weeks now. You keep telling her you'll get to it when you get to it but these days it doesn't seem like she really understands, atleast not like she used to. You moved to Hawkins last spring, after your parents divorce. Your mom got custody of you and now you live with her, thousands of miles away from your dad. You and your mom didn't necessarily NOT get along before but your favorite memories were with your dad. Now your mom just blames him for everything and tries to make him out to be a really bad person, but to you, he was amazing. You put on your shoes and grab your car keys off your dresser drawer. You walk downstairs and pass the kitchen but you hear your mom call out your name "Y/N! Come here a sec." She doesn't sound angry anymore, so thats a relief. "MOM! I'm gonna be late!" You yell back "I need to go!" You grab your backpack and walk out the door before you hear your mom say anything else, it's fine, you'll see her after school anyways. You hop in your car and turn on the radio. You back out of your driveway and head to school. You've got 5 minutes to get to school before it starts and the drive is closer to 7 minutes.

You finally arrive. The parking lot is packed and students are inside except for the "Popular" kids who skip class on a regular basis. You speed walk from your car into the school and head straight to your first classroom, history. When you walk in your teacher stops mid sentence which makes the whole class turn to you 'Ugh seriolsy?' you think to yourself. You take your seat and the lesson continues.

The bell rings and your friend Sarah approaches you "I'm so glad 5th Period is over. I hate this class." Sarah has been your closest friend since you've moved here. Sarah didn't have too many friends to begin with. Shes a bit of a nerd but thats what you loved most about her. You and Sarah shared a lot of interests which is why you two connected so quickly "Oh i know.. But i hate the lunches here." You stood up and collected your things and you and Sarah walked to lunch together. Even though you had only been going to this school for a couple of months, you learned the dynamic quickly. Especially the seating arrangements at lunch. You had already almost memorized where everyone sat, and what club they all came from. You and sarah sat with a group of kids in the chess club since Sarah was in that club. Sarah always erged you to join but you never had an interest in it. Once you sat down Sarah started rambling about a new movie she was into. She rambled a lot about movies. Once she finished you spoke up "Hey, changing the subject.. I've been thinking about joining a club." Sarahs face lit up "My club?" "Um.. Sorry still no." You chuckled "I actually thought about joining the Hellfire club.. Y'know the D&D club." Sarah pasued. She looked like her brain stopped for a minute, as if she had a really hard time processing what i had just told her "Y-You mean the one that um..." She paused again, her face was turning red "The one that uh.. Whats his name runs?" She looked like she was pretending that she didn't know the club leaders name "Eddie Munson?" I asked "Are you okay Sarah?" "Yeah- Sorry- I had trouble sleeping." She cleared her throat "That seems right up your ally" "Do you not like Eddie or something?" I asked her. Sarah seemed like she was really bothered with the fact I wanted to join the Hellfire club. "No.. No sorry it's fine.. I just.." Sarah glanced back at her club, they were all chatting amongst themselves. Sarah leaned in really close and whispered something. It took a minute to realize what she had said "I have a crush.. On Eddie!" She squealed a little "Really? Why don't you join his club with me?" I said. Sarah replied "Well.. I can't ditch my team.. Plus we're going against Crestwood next week and we REALLY wan't  to beat them." Sarah turned towards her little team "And i'd miss them all, yknow?" "I understand" I gave Sarah an understanding smile "Oh, but i hear that the Hellfire club are meeting tonight so you might be able to show up!" Sarah said excitedly "I think they have meetings in the drama room." Okay, cool! I could join tonight. But.. Do i really just show up uninvited? What if i inturrupt a really important game.. Whatever, atleast i'm trying.

The next class hours went by quickly to you because you were getting more and more excited to join the Hellfire club as time went by. Finally the last class of the day had ended and you headed to the Drama room. You knocked on the door but nobody answered so you decided to try just walking in. You opened the door and noticed the lights were off. "Maybe they weren't meeting today after all.." You said aloud to yourself. You felt the wall for the lightswitch but accidentally turned on the wrong one. There were dim spotlights that lit up a table in the center of the room. It was an incredibly well made set of a D&D world. The lights made the room moody with different soft oranges and purples. It would set the perfect vibe for a game. You set you backpack down on the floor and took a closer inspection of the table. You leaned over and placed a hand on the edge of the table to support yourself. You reached forward to touch one of the objects but before you did you heard a loud voice "DONT touch that.." You turned your head and saw a figure standing by the door. You hadn't even heard them walk in "Sorry! I was just-" You cut yourself off. The figure began walking closer and you started to see them clearer. Their hair was long, frizzy, and unmanaged.  They wore a dark looking denim jacket and what looked to be a hellfire club shirt. You finally realized who it was. It was Eddie Munson, the club leader. That made you feel a little nervous since he just caught you snooping around his club room. "Whats a girl like you doing around these parts?" He sounded a little crazy when he spoke, which made it all the more unerving. "I was erm.." You found it hard to explain yourself. When he finally stopped he was closer than I'd perfer and he was extremely tall compared to me. Eddie folded his arms over each other, watching your face intently, waiting for you to say something. "Um.. I was thinking about joining your club." I said that in a more passive aggressive tone than i meant. "Hoping to.." I corrected myself. Being rude wouldn't help my chances of joining. It was the only club that actually peaked my interest. "Really?" He looked taken aback "I don't know.." He stepped back a litte. "Umm.. Yeah." Your eyes darted around the room. His head slowly shifted away from you before snapping back almost robotically "We might play too intense for a princess like you." Now you were taken aback. What? Why would he say that? Is it cause how i look? "You're judging appearances now?" You snapped back. "Well.." He clicked his tongue, eyeing you up an down. You were getting frustrated now.. Why doesn't he just let me in? "I.. Dunno.. I guess i'd have to see you play." He ajusted himself on his feet "We're meeting at 4:00 today." He stepped closer again "If you.. Wanna drop by." He was watching you carefully now "I guess.." You started mimicking his speech "I'll give you a shot." You caught his eye as you walked to your bag and stepped out of the room. Yes! You might be able to join the club.. No.. You will  join the club. You walked to your locker and put your things away, taking out a hairbrush and brushing your messy hair. You checked your phone, 3:25  it said. You decided to run and get coffee before meeting the rest of the group.

When you finally got back to the school it was already 4:00. Yikes, you'd be late to your trial run. You quickly rushed into the school and finished the rest of your coffee, dumping the coffee cup in the trash on your way. You got to the door and heard murmurs inside. I opened the door and everything went silent. When i walked in all eyes were on me immediately and i felt my face turning red. "Hi." I said in a somewhat shakey voice. I was shaking from the coffee and having all the attention on me. "Ah, look who it is." Eddie spoke up again "I see your time management skills arent too good." I was a little confused and annoyed by this but shrugged it off. Eddie wasn't getting any less annoying. "Sorry." I simply said "I'm here now." I walked over to the table next to the only other girl there. She was young, looked like she was in 7th grade maybe. "Let me introduce you to the party." Eddie started. He named everyone off, pointing them out as he went. "We have Lucas, Erica, Dustin, Jeff, Gareth, and Grant." He stood up straight and pointed to himself with both of his hands "And of course you've met me, Eddie." He then looked at me expectantly. Why is he just starring at me?.. What? After a few seconds i finally realized what he was doing "Oh.. Sorry.. I'm Y/N." Some in the group chuckled which made me feel embarrassed. "Right well, now that we're all introduced.. Lets play." He began introducing the world in a strange narrators voice. I wanted to laugh but everyone else looked so serious so i held it in as best i could. He gave out our story and where we were in the world and we each took turns laying out our moves. Before i knew it i was completely submerged in the game, it was already 6:00 when i checked my phone and i realized i'd better get home. I whispered to the girl beside me "Um.. Erica, was it? How long do these games usually last." "Depends." She responded "Some nights we're here so late the School staff kicks us out." She smirked a litte. I felt a little nervous, my mom would probably text me sooner or later and force me to come home. I deffinetly wouldn't make the party then. Another hour and a half went by and i was starting to wonder if the school faculty would make an appearance but before i could finish my thought Eddie spoke up "And THAT ladies and gentlemen, is where we end our store..." He took a minute to pause for effect "For now..." The group smiled. Everyone got out of their seats and either left right away or stayed for a minute, mingling with the other members. I didn't really know what to do. I wasn't sure if i'd be let in that night or if i'd know by the next morning. I stood up and walked to one of the members "Hi." I walked up to a group of three. They had been introduced as Lucas, Dustin, and Erica. "Hey! It's nice to see a new face around here." Dustin said. "Yeah." Erica added "Yeah. I hope i actually make the party.. Hellfire is the most interesting Club in this school." "That it is." Eddies voice came up from behind me. "Nice playing today Lucas, i see that ball game isn't getting in the way of your real game." They laughed, i awkwardly joined in. "Alright we've got to get going. See you." The group left and Eddie walked me back over to the table "Help me set up for the next campaign." While we worked the final members left the room. I spent another 20 minutes working and talking with Eddie. He actually seemed like a decent person when you arent just spitting out quick smart comebacks. When we finally finished I said goodbye and walked to the door but heard him call my name before i could leave "Y/N.. Don't you want to know if you're in?" I turned around "So soon?" I smiled, and he smiled back. He bent down and rummaged through a box, tossing me some form of fabric. I opened it up and it turned out to be a Hellfire Club shirt. I looked from it to Eddie, practically grinning from ear to ear, he seemed to enjoy seeing the look on my face "We meet again this Friday." I put the shirt down "See you friday!" I turned and walked out. My stomach felt like it was full of butterflies, i was so excited to have made some good friends.

When i finally drove up to the house it was 8 PM. I walked inside, expecting to see my mom frustrated with me for being out so long. I opened the door but the house was dark, and dead silent. My mom gets off work at 5:30 so she shouldve been here.. Maybe she just went to bed early? I pushed it aside assuming she was just tired or something and i went up to bed. I set my backpack down on the floor and grabbed clean clothes to sleep in. I took a shower and brushed my teeth. I couldn't stop thinking about the Hellfire club. I can't believe i actually made it.. I mean Eddie seemed so serious and careful about his choices. There weren't many members which meant 2 things. People were scared of him.. I heard a lot of weird stories about him so I really just put those two together.. And.. He's picky. There are a lot of kids who would like to join the club.. I mean.. The kids who walk around Hawkins High are practically begging to be let into a club like that. Geeks are all over this town. I wonder why he thought i was fit.. AND on the first trial run night. Not that there would necessarily be others.. But still.. He acted differently around me too.. Probably because i'm a girl. I finally put everything to rest when i got into bed.. I tried to atleast.. Eddie still filled my mind. I kept checking the clock and it was closer to midnight before i finally fell asleep. I just simply couldn't wait for Friday.
