"Doc! Doc! Tulungan n'yo po si daddy ko! Doc!" Saoirse cried as she ran with the nurses towards the Operating room.

The urgency in her voice echoed through the hospital hallway, causing heads to turn and hearts to race. Saoirse's hands were trembling as she desperately clung onto the hope that the doctors could save her father's life.

"We will do everything we can, hija," The doctor said before closing the door to the operating room behind them.

Saoirse could hear the muffled sounds of medical equipment and hushed conversations as she stood outside, her heart pounding in her chest. She felt a mix of fear and anticipation, praying silently for her father's condition.

She leaned on the wall, crying silently, her tears falling unchecked down her cheeks. The weight of the situation pressed down on her, making it hard to breathe.

Every passing second felt like an eternity as she awaited any news, clinging onto the flicker of hope that her father would pull through.

"Saoirse!" She heard a voice from the distance, and she saw her best friend, Clyde, rushing towards her, his face etched with concern.

Saoirse's heart skipped a beat at the sight of him, grateful for his presence in this moment of uncertainty.

Clyde enveloped her in a tight embrace, offering a small semblance of comfort amidst the chaos that surrounded them. His warm presence helped ease the weight on her shoulders, if only momentarily.

"Cly, si daddy! Cly, yung daddy ko nasa loob ng OR, there are so many blood, Cly, ayaw ko pa mawala si daddy!" Saoirse cried out, her voice trembling with fear and desperation.

Clyde held her even tighter, his own eyes welling up with tears as he tried to find the right words to console her.

"Walang mangyayari kay Tito, ok?" Clyde whispered softly, his voice filled with reassurance.

"Doctors are doing everything they can to help him. Your daddy is strong, Saoirse, and he has so many people who love him and are praying for him." Saoirse clung onto Clyde's words, finding solace in his comforting embrace.

"A-ayaw ko pang mawala si daddy, I'm not ready to lose him yet; I'm just 16, Clyde, natatakot ako, siya nalang ang meron ako," Saoise cried out, her voice trembling with fear and sadness.

Clyde held her tighter, his heart breaking for the pain she was experiencing.

"I don't want to lose a father; hindi na nga ako love ng mommy, mawawalan pa ako ng daddy," Saoirse whispered, her voice barely audible.

Her words echoed in the quiet room, filling the air with a heaviness that was almost suffocating. Clyde felt his own tears welling up, the weight of Saoirse's words hitting him like a tidal wave.

They both sat on the metal chairs, waiting for the doctor's announcement. "Pa check mo rin yang sugat mo sa forehead baka mainfection pa," Clyde said softly, but Saoirse just placed her head on his shoulder.

"This wound is nothing compared to my father's situation," Saoirse said with a tremor in her voice. Clyde could feel her pain radiating through her body, the weight of her worry pressing against him.

"Kung hindi ko lang sana siya pinilit mag drive, hindi sana to mangyayari," Saoirse whispered, her voice filled with regret. Clyde gently squeezed her hand, offering her a small measure of comfort.

"It's not your fault, Saoirse," he reassured her.

"It's mine, kung hindi ko pinataas 'tong letcheng stubbornness ko, edi sana wala tayo sa hospital ngayon!" Saoirse shouted through her tears, her voice cracking with anger and self-blame.

Clyde's heart ached as he watched Saoirse unravel before him, consumed by guilt and frustration.

He knew that no matter how many times he told her it wasn't her fault, she wouldn't fully believe it until she forgave herself.

"Pag may nangyaring masama kay daddy, hindi ko alam ang magagawa ko sa sarili ko," Saoirse whispered, her voice filled with vulnerability.

Her hands trembled as she wiped away the tears streaming down her face.

After a few hours of waiting, the doctor came out of the OR and approached Clyde and Saoirse with a solemn expression.

His eyes met theirs, conveying a mix of sympathy and uncertainty. Clyde's heart skipped a beat, fearing the worst. "How's my father, doc?" Saoirse asked him.

The doctor hesitated for a moment, his gaze shifting between Saoirse and Clyde.

His voice was gentle but weighed down with the weight of his words as he replied, "Your father's condition is critical. He suffered severe internal injuries, and we did everything we could in the operating room." Saoirse's heart sank, and she clung onto Clyde's arm for support.

Her mind raced with a flood of emotions—uncertainty and fear intertwined with each other. "Will he be okay?" she managed to ask, her voice barely above a whisper.

The doctor sighed, "For now, he's under monitoring in the ICU, hindi lang natin alam kung kailan siya magigising, but all I can assure you is your father is a strong man, he will win this battle Saoirse," the doctor reassured her.

Saoirse nodded, her eyes filling with tears. She knew her father had always been a fighter but seeing him lying helpless in the ICU bed shattered her heart.

She promised herself that she would be by his side every step of the way, offering him strength and support until he recovered.

"Please, wag mo akong iwan, daddy, wag kang susuko sa laban na'to, I don't want to lose you," Saoirse whispered softly, her voice trembling with emotion.

She gently squeezed her father's hand, feeling the warmth and strength that still radiated from him.

The monitors beeped rhythmically, reminding her of the fragility of life and the urgency of the situation. Saoirse took a deep breath, summoning all the courage she could muster.

She knew that her father needed her unwavering belief in his ability to overcome this battle, just as he had always believed in her.
