"Shhh, ano ba, Si!" Vinny hissed at his brother as he and Simon hide behind the wall, secretly watching Saoirse and Irene sitting awkwardly at the bench.
"Quite surprising if you asked me. Never in my life I imagined that they will talk like a normal people, no banters against each other," Simon said softly.
"Hindi ba sila normal?" Matt interjected making the Marcos siblings startled. Simon and Vinny glared at him before pulling him behind the wall.
"They always banter, day and night, every minutes, hours, and weeks. Tell me, gawain ba yun ng normal na mag-ina?" Simon asked him and Matt stayed silent for a moment to process what's happening.
"Hindi siya normal, yes. But I know Tita Irene, in Saoirse's eyes she can be the monster she think she is, but for us, mga pamangkin niya, including her sons, she is the best mom and second mom a child could ask for."
"Yes, I agree with that, Matt, pero, what really made Saoirse hate her mother so much? I understand na hindi naging present si tita Irene sa life niya, but I feel like there is a deep reason why she hates her mother so much," Sandro said, leaving her brother and cousin to wonder.
Meanwhile, Irene and Saoirse is sitting awkwardly together.
"So, you want me to help you?" Irene asked in case she didn't misheard her daughter. She even looked around to see if she is talking to other people.
"Did I stutter?"
"I mean, why me? Did you lost all your resources and connections para tulungan ka?" Irene asked her and Saoirse passed an envelope containing all the papers and contracts.
"Those were given by daddy's lawyer, Atty. Mansala, I want you to take care of it. I feel like daddy has an idea na mangyayari ito sa kanya, those are his will and testaments. I know what you are thinking, hindi pa patay si daddy bakit ganyan na, am I right? Well to answer your question, eversince mama Arly came back here, pinangunahan na niya yung buhay niya." Saoirse took a sip of her tea after explaining.
"Why me? Bakit hindi si attorney or si Elvira or anyone of your family?" Irene asked her.
"I don't know who to trust. Legally speaking, you are my legal guardian, nasa letter yun ni dad na binigay kay attorney before the accident happened. Surprisingly, you have shares on the company and I'm not in the legal age to hold that. So, it only means one thing, it will be safe if it's in your hands. After all, I saw there na hindi pa kayo separated ni dad." Irene looked at her confused and opened the enveloped.
She is shocked to see that the divorce papers are left untouched. "He kept that, according to atty. Mansala. He told me that he never signed the papers. Reasons? I have no idea," Saoirse said.
"So, you trust me with this?" Irene asked her and Saoirse sighed. "If 80% of those contract weren't named after you and kuyas hindi ko ibibigay sa'yo yan." Irene looked at her shocked when she saw that 80% of Greggy's companies, properties, lands and houses are named after her and the boys but 20% only belongs to Saoirse.
"But why?" Irene asked her.
"I don't know, pero it's better na rin na nasa'yo yan. Mama Arly won't stop bothering me about it." Irene nodded her head as she read all the contract and saw a letter sealed in a small envelope.
"Have you read all the papers in here?" She asked Saoirse while observing the unopened letter of Greggy.
"I haven't, the letter belongs to you and kuyas, there are no letters for me there. Technically, sa'yo yan," Saoirse added, the coldness on her voice lingers in the air.
"Saoirs—"
"It's yours, who am I to take what belongs to you all along?" She asked her.
"I'll ask atty. Zuar—"
