The electricity returned and yet the people panicked even more. I simply sat there. I wasn't quite sure what I was waiting for, either.

A strange fur-covered creature floats in the air that spoke gibberish at first. It was something you'd see in web novels, a 'dokkaebi'. Two stubby horns were placed on its head and it was wearing a straw mat.

The voices on the train relaxed after it spoke a familiar language.

[Ah, ah. Does this sound good? I had a hard time because the Korean patch didn't work. Everyone, can you hear my words?]

Maybe because the people had their guards down, but the first one to step up was a man in a suit. "Hey, what are you doing right now?"

[...Huh?]

"Are you filming? I have to get to an audition."

...The passion. I always believed that humans were fearful when it comes to the unknown but I suppose things can change when harmless appearances are deceiving. The creature laughs.

[Ah, auditions. That's right. This is also an audition. Haha, there was a shortage of data. I just entered it when it was monetised at 7 pm.]

"What? What are you talking about?"

[Now, now. All of you, relax in your seats and listen to me. From now on, I will tell you something very important!]

"What? Get off this train!"

"Someone, call the captain!"

"What are they doing without the cooperation of the citizens?"

Voices who ignored the creature were yelling at it, completely taking this as a joke. Of course, who could believe or listen to a cute-looking CG creature?

[Haha, you are really loud.]

Now, it became a presence with a stronger persuasive power than anyone on this train.

[I told you to be quiet.]

I closed my eyes at a loud noise, and coincidentally, the subway became silent.

The head of the unknown actor who had to go to an audition burst into fireworks of blood. The man collapsed on the spot.

[This isn't a movie shoot.]

There was another bang. It was the person who talked about the captain this time.

[It isn't a dream nor a novel.]

Again, as the heads of people who caused the slightest fuss started to burst one by one, the train that once was filled with rowdy people was turned into a silent bloodbath. More than half of the passengers died.

[This isn't the 'reality' you know. Do you understand? So everyone shut up and listen to me.]

I stared at the blood dribbling across the floor and lifted my feet up onto the seat, somewhat in a fetal position.

Watching the people's terrified faces towards the murders, I felt eyes upon me despite seemingly no one paying attention to me. Strange.

I listened to the monologue the creature started spewing.

[Everyone, your lives have been nice so far, isn't that right? You have been living too long for free. Isn't life too generous? You were born and paid no price for breathing, eating, defecating and breeding! Ha! You really live in a good world.]

I think he's misconstrued something. In a capitalistic country such as Korea, even breathing costs money. I couldn't be bothered to say anything and the people on the subway were much too frightened to argue. I started to fade in and out of the lecture that thing was giving.
