Chapter Six:

We were moved onto the Quinjet, and sat in silence. Tony carefully set down my unconscious form on a seat, moving some stray hairs behind my ear, a fond smile on his face, before walking back over to where the Captain was watching.

"Who is she? She wasn't on the files." He said, having noticed the care that Tony held for me.

"That's Agent Coulson's daughter. She was taken by this guy, not long after he made his grand entrance. I can only hope we get her back."

"Have you known her long?"

"We met briefly two years ago. She and her dad were sent to check up on me. After the Stark Expo and all that entailed, she checked in to say hi. Since then, we stayed in contact when we could. Good kid. She didn't deserve this."

The Captain looked over at Loki, shaking his head. "I don't like it." He murmured.

"What, Rock of Ages giving up so easily?"

"I don't remember it being that easy. This guy packs a wallop."

"Still, you are pretty spry for an older fellow. What's your thing, Pilates?"

"What?" Rogers questioned in confusion.

"It's like callisthenics. You might have missed a few things, doing time as a Capsicle." Tony quipped.

Rogers seemed to look Tony over for a moment. "Fury didn't tell me he was calling you in."

"Yeah, there's a lot of things Fury doesn't tell you."

A crack of thunder put an end to the conversation. The change in weather seemed to have an effect both on the bickering pair - who had quietened down upon hearing the roar of thunder; and my mind, which sparked to life. I clutched my head, wincing as the sceptre's control gradually released its vigorous grip on my mind, before wearily sitting up.

Tony had noticed my return to the living, and rushed over. "Mini-Agent!"

"Hey Tin-Can. Fancy seeing you here." I said in a casual tone, as if this were a regular Tuesday evening.

"Well, you know, I was in the middle of a date night and Regular-Sized Agent came knocking on my door, telling me you decided to become a zombie for a greasy Goth guy."

"I wouldn't say 'decided'. More like poked with a glow-stick and forced to do his bidding. Speaking of which, Mind Control? 0/10, would not recommend."

"I will take your word for it, kid. All jokes aside, I'm glad you're alright." He said, sincerity in his voice.

I smiled, touched at the concern he held for me, and smirked. "Your concern is much appreciated, Tiny."

That killed the moment, as he rolled his eyes. "How many times, kid? It's Tony. And I'm not that small." He grumbled under his breath.

I was about to retort when another crack of lightning made me pause, as the weather began to get worse. Thunder was rapidly approaching, making Loki pale slightly as he looked around. His reaction did not go unnoticed. "What's the matter? Scared of a little lightning?" The Captain asked, having watched in silence during our conversation.

"I'm not overly fond of what follows." Loki sighed, eyes flickering around in anticipation. A loud thud made the jet shake slightly as everyone's eyes looked up to the roof. Tony opened the hangar door of the jet, fully suited up, making us to look up in confusion.

"Anty, what are you doing?" I called.

Thor landed upon the ramp of the Jet, and hit Tony with Mjolnir, which sent him flying into the Captain. He grabbed Loki by the throat, and hesitated upon seeing me. His eyes, which had been full of anger softened slightly, a hint of sadness seeping into his expression. He managed to hold both Loki and I in his arms before flying out of the Jet.
