Chapter Three:

I was awoken by my father, who had told me to suit up.

Apparently, the energy readings that had resulted in the arrival of Thor only 2 days prior had occurred again, and had instigated a reaction of interest and mild confusion.

While my father and his team of agents went to take a look, I took a car and drove to Jane Foster's lab. It was relatively early in the morning, so when I arrived, they were in the midst of eating breakfast.

I knocked on the door.

A young woman with glasses opened the door. "Can I help you?"

"Yes, I'm Agent Coulson with SHIELD, I'm looking for Thor."

"You're with SHIELD?" Another woman strode over to the door with an angered expression. "The people who stole my life's work? That SHIELD?"

"And I thought Agent Coulson was a middle aged man?" The glasses chick jumped in, a confused look on her face.

"He's my father, and I managed to slip one of your notebooks back into your possession. Believe me, I was not happy with how my father handled the situation, but I promise, I will make sure it is all returned to you."

She nodded and stood to the side, allowing me access to the building.

I walked in to see a familiar blonde God at the stove, serving himself an omlette.

"Good morning Thor, or should I say, Donald? " I greeted, giving Selvig - who was sitting at the table - a side-eye. Thor gave me a smile as Selvig winced.

"Alright, I'll admit it wasn't my best idea, but I was kind of put on the spot, and I'm not great at improvisation. I'm an astrophysicist, not an Agent."

"Is there something you needed, Agent Coulson?" Jane Foster asked.

"Yes. This morning, our scanners picked up the exact same energy readings that you recorded, Doctor Foster, which proved to be Thor's arrival. My father is currently investigating it, but I presume we have another visitor from Asgard."

"This is what I was talking about, Erik, my theory-" Jane turned to Selvig, who cut her off.

"It's a wonderful theory, but you won't be able to convince the world, let alone the scientific community, not without substantial and hard evidence-" Selvig was interrupted by a rapid knocking on the door. We turned to the windows and stared in shock as three men and a woman, dressed in renaissance-faire styled clothing,  stood at the door.

"Found you!" One of them yelled. Thor seemed to recognise them, while Jane and Selvig both dropped their cups of coffee in shock.

"My friends!" Thor rushed to embrace them. The axe–wielding man noticed our stunned stares and made to introduce the group of newcomers. "Oh, excuse me, Lady Sif and the Warriors Three." I recognised the names.

"The Warriors Three? Like Volstagg, Fandral and Hogun?"

He grinned. "Precisely!"

"My friends, I've never been happier to see anyone. But you should not have come." Thor spoke, smiling sadly.

"We're here to take you home." Fandral said.

"You know I can't go home." At their puzzled expressions, he elaborated. "My father, he's dead because of me. And I must remain in exile."

"Thor, your father still lives." Lady Sif corrected him. It seemed Loki had lied to him. As Thor was about to ask something, I spotted a large cloud beginning to form in the distance. It began to descend into a tornado-like tunnel, before something landed, the impact heard even miles away from the crash site.
