He was going crazy. He knew he was, he had seen the strangest things the last while. One eyed, 7ft tall humans, large snarling dogs, discoloured humans with snake trunks for legs. They didn't notice him but heck, he noticed them. And at the moment he was thinking about a cat lady he just saw. No, not those old lady's, but a cat with human girl limbs. He shivered. Maybe he should send himself to an insane asylum. 'Mr.Whitley!' Someone called at him shattering his thoughts. It was his secretary. 'Bella,' He said 'I told you just call me Alfie, not Mr.Whitley.' 'Sorry sir!' Bella said. 'But you have an important phone call!' Alfie sighed and went to the phone. 'Hello?' He asked. 'Is this Alfie Whitley?' The person on the other line said. 'Yes, why? Who are you?' He asked. The line remained silent before they spoke up. 'Doesn't matter,' they said. 'You need to leave, now.' 'Is that a threat?' Alfie asked. 'Because I don't take threats lightly...' 'it's not a threat!' The other person said, starting to sound annoyed. 'It's a warning! Meet me downtown in about 10 minutes!' 'And how do I know this isn't a trick?' 'Stay there and-!' The line went dead. 'Who was it?' Bella piped. Alfie shrugged and handed her the phone. 'I'm going to get fresh air.' He pulled on his coat and stepped out into the -20 air. He liked cold miserable weather, that's partly why he moved to the Yukon. He signalled for a taxi and hoped in. 'Downtown please.' Alfie said. 'To late, Whitley.' The driver said turning around. 'I beat you here.' They fixed their shocking yellow eyes on Alfie.
Alfie fumbled with the door. 'Don't try.' The not-driver said. 'Who are you!?' Alfie tried to sound firm, but sounded like a little girl. The thing barked an ugly laugh. 'My names Drucunwa, but please call me Drew.' 'That doesn't tell me what you are!' Alfie stammered. 'I'm a next generation vampire.' She smiled. That made Alfie panic more. 'Oh please,' Drew said. 'I'm a vegetarian, when you've lived for over a thousand years meat and blood loses its appeal.' 'Are you the one who called me?' Alfie asked still shaking. 'Yeah, but some stupid person cut the line, I also didn't think you'd come downtown.' She said. 'Now let's get you out of here before your killed.' She stepped on the gas, as the wheels made a horrible screeching noise. 'Killed by who!?' Alfie screamed for his life. Drew swerved in the taxi Turing into an alleyway. 'Not important right now!' She said. 'How is that not important!' He asked. 'you don't get motion sickness, right?' Drew asked. 'What do you me-!' Alfie started. Drew slammed on the gas pedal and drove into a wall.
