Jennifer's POV

As the first light of dawn appeared, I woke up promptly at 5:30, ensuring I had ample time to gather all my essentials. After a thorough, refreshing shower, I carefully styled my hair and applied makeup to look polished and professional. Kenza accompanied me to my car as we exchanged final goodbyes.

"Having you around meant so much... I'll miss you dearly," she expressed with a tinge of sadness.

"I won't forget about you, and please keep my room ready. I'm still committed to helping you with the bills! If there's anything else you need, just let me know," I reassured her while embracing her warmly.

She smiled slyly before adding, "Well, after meeting this wealthy man you'll be working for, just remember that marrying into riches is far easier than earning them yourself!" as she playfully teased me.

A soft chuckle escaped my lips at her parting words, as I hoisted myself into my car, offering a final wave goodbye. As the engine roared to life, I was consumed by a peculiar blend of nervous anticipation and heart-wrenching nostalgia for the home I had to leave behind.

Steering through the streets that had become second nature during my years of living here, I couldn't help but mentally recap all the information I had been given about my new role.

My new living arrangement would be in an entertainer's abode where I'd be responsible for housekeeping duties. The salary offered was staggering - far more than what one would expect for domestic work - but I decided not to dwell on it too much. Upon reaching the luxurious apartment complex, a courteous doorman welcomed me and offered to transport my luggage to my quarters while I introduced myself to Mr. Han and my as-yet-unknown employer. Grateful, I thanked them before proceeding toward the designated office space, a knot of anxiety forming in my chest.

As I knocked gently on the door, a curt voice beckoned me inside. With bated breath, I crossed the threshold and froze in place as though struck by lightning. Seated before me was none other than HongJoong Kim - for those unfamiliar with him, he is the renowned leader of the K-pop sensation Ateez. Shock coursed through me as reality slowly set in.

Trying to maintain my composure, I flashed a polite smile and bowed respectfully. "Good morning, Mr. Kim. My name is Jennifer and I have been assigned as the housekeeper for this apartment," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

HongJoong studied me carefully, his eyes piercing through me as if he could see right into my very soul. "I see," he began, his voice cold and authoritative. "Before we proceed any further, I must make it clear that your personal feelings about our identities should not affect your professionalism."

"Of course, Mr. Kim. I understand completely," I replied with a curt nod.

With that settled, he proceeded to provide me with a detailed list of my responsibilities and expectations while living under their roof. Each member of Ateez had specific preferences when it came to their living arrangements - from scheduled cleaning times each morning to individualized menus encompassing unique dietary restrictions.

Overwhelmed by the volume of information being thrust upon me, I struggled to keep up with Han's passionate tirade. Sensing my struggle to keep pace, HongJoong took a deep breath before continuing.

"We have high expectations for our domestic staff, and you must be prepared to work diligently without complaint," he stated firmly but fairly.

"Yes sir, I understand, I promise, I will work hard..." I said softly, bowing respectfully.

"Shall we go up to my penthouse so you can see your room?" he asked standing from his chair.

As I followed him to the elevator, my head spun with countless questions and sudden realizations. Not only would I be living under the same roof as a famous K-pop idol, but I would also be responsible for his everyday needs. A surreal mixture of excitement and nervousness surged through me at the thought.
