In a galaxy unknown, nestled on a tidal locked moon, lay a forsaken continent, with a different name depending on who you ask. A vast expanse of land surrounded by unforgiving oceans on all sides. Within this land, an ancient and dark history was intricately woven throughout the millennia of its existence. Now lost to the ravages of time, this once fruitful continent has since spiraled into a desolate and merciless wasteland.
Amidst this rough terrain, Kai, a wandering drifter, roamed, hopping from job to job, both legal and illegal, ethical and unethical. After all, one must do anything it takes to survive in this post apocalyptic wasteland. Kai was a very dedicated, aspiring historian as well as an adept swordsman, devoting the very valuable scrapcoin acquired from his jobs that he hadn't spent on his own well-being into working through the history and myths of his homeland with dreams of one day escaping the violence of the bandit gangs and the wrath of the three kingdoms, locked in an infinite power struggle over resources, territory, animosity, and the oppressive rule of their tyrannical leaders. He wanted to leave this land of bloodshed and settle down somewhere quiet, a place where he could create a sanctuary for those like him, who were worn out by all the war and looting, where he could teach his wisdom of this world to whoever wishes to listen.
Unfortunately, the cruel universe had other plans for Kai.
