I was a detective, a pretty decent one. That means I have kinda the high reputation in this town.
Currently, I've learned that there were rumors about a ghost that lived in a haunted house outside the town...but it wasn't any ghost..it was a..more of a 'countryhuman' one.
No one dared to check it out, since people believe that anyone who did, wouldn't make it alive.
So, as the confident detective woman I am, I decided to check it out.
I packed my things in my bag, a flashlight, a camera, and my %100 charged phone.
I drove my car to the 'haunted house' where this mysterious ghost is supposed to be
About 34 minutes, I reached the house as I parked my car in an empty place..and took my way to the house
..I opened the door as it made a tzzt sound..holding my flashlight, I started inspecting the place
..until, I heard..some kind of...heavy breathing? ..I approached the sound, and to my surprise, I found a...country disguised as a human, seemingly to be the ghost everyone talked about..he had..a Austria-Hungary flag for a face...hm..a dead country...I thought to myself as I approached it.
"Um...hello?" I said to the countryhuman ghost who's back was facing me..then he turned to me, with his white eyes...I was a little bit terrified but I didn't let my terrifiedness make a damage to my confidence..
The ghost stared at me with it's lifelessly eyes..and surprisingly talked "...hello... it's often I see people here.." he said with a slight dutch accent.
".. oh..well, um, my name is Y/N L/N.. I'm a detective..I heard that there might be a..ghost..in here, and I decided to check It out..." I said to the tall male ghost..as he looked(?) Down at me.
"...a detective... interesting, my name is Austria-Hungary..." I saw a hint of sadness in his tone..as I was concerned and asked him "is everything okay?" I said with a concerned voice as Austria-Hungary stared at me..
"I'm perfectly fine, thanks for asking... it's just...I missed my people, country..family...ever since I died...I felt..empty" he said with sadness.
"..I see... it's okay.. I'm sure your family and people are missing you too, and they're thinking of you from seconds, to minutes, to hours..even decades!" I said with a smile..the ghost looked at me, and..turned into a human?..he looked at me..and held my cheek as he smiled..."thank you..Y/N" I slightly blushed as I felt his cold hand on my warm cheek.."anytime.."
We spent some hours in the haunted house, talking in that spot..we seemed to bond...maybe more..he was still warming up..
"Thank you, for everything..Szerelmem.."
