The next day

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Deb walked through the doors and into the main room, she started feeling even more nervous, her stomach filling with butterflies, but she decided to do her best to push them aside. Miguel was standing in the center of the room, directing another dance class. Deb felt like she was interrupting, but she knew she needed to talk to Miguel.
"Excuse me, Miguel? I'm Deb, your new student. Sorry for interrupting, I was just wondering if I could talk to you for a second?" Deb asked nervously, praying that Miguel would have time.
Miguel turned to face Deb, a warm smile on his face as he greeted her. Deb felt at ease, realizing that Miguel was just as friendly and patient as all her friends told her he would be.
"Of course, Deb! What can I help you with?" Miguel smiled, gesturing for Deb to come over to where he was teaching the class. Deb walked over, feeling more at ease.
"I just wanted to know when my first private lesson is. Will it be after class today?" Deb asked Miguel excitedly.
Miguel looked at Deb for a moment, considering her request. He knew that Deb was antsy to start learning, but he also knew that she would be best served learning the basics in a group setting before moving on to private lessons.
"Well Deb, I was actually considering waiting a few weeks before we start on private lessons. I want to make sure you have the basics down before we dive deeper into the choreography and technique of batchada dance." Miguel explained, hoping Deb would understand.
Deb looked at Miguel, her face falling slightly.
"But... classes start today," she objected. "I've been so excited for them. Can't we just get started now?" Deb asked Miguel, trying to hide the disappointment in her voice.
Miguel looked at Deb, his heart softening a bit. He couldn't fault her for her eagerness to learn, and he understood how excited she was to start training.
"You know what, Deb? Let's go ahead and start today. But let's see how it goes before we start on private lessons ok?"
Deb smiled excitedly, her heart racing at the thought of starting her batchada training right away. Miguel gave her a quick hug, and then directed her to take her place in the back of the class, watching over her as he continued with the lesson.
As Deb tried to follow Miguel's instructions and mimic the other dancers' movements, she could feel her heartbeat pounding in her chest. With every movement and instruction Miguel gave, she felt her excitement and determination building. By the end of the class, Deb was breathless, but she was thrilled at the progress she had made.
As Deb walked into her house, she couldn't help but bounce with energy and excitement. She had had such a great first day of batchada dance class, and she couldn't wait to share her experiences with her sister.
"Hey Sis. Guess what?" Deb said excitedly, as she saw her sister sitting at the dinner table.
"What is it, Deb?" her sister asked, looking up from her homework.
Deb smiled, and took a seat across from her sister, eager to tell her the stories of her first day of dance class.
Deb was filled with so much excitement and enthusiasm, and she started talking a mile a minute. She told her sister about Miguel, and about the dance class, and about some of the moves she had learned. Her sister listened intently, smiling at her excitement and sharing Deb's happiness too.
By the end of the night, Deb was so tired from all the talking she had done that she just wanted to relax and go to bed. She gave her sister a big hug and said goodnight, still filled with excitement and anticipation for her next dance class and posted it to her instagram story before drifting off in a nice sleep
