"Come, my child."
A loud thud echoed throughout the crypt. Stones such a wet, sad grey, the smell of rotting corpses fills the room. Candlelight flickers as the priest comes down to investigate the sound." Is anyone there?" The priest says calmly while holding a candle close to his chest. This scared priest wasn't alone; a sudden chill came over the priest." You should be more careful in the dark." The lights go out." Arkay bless me." He bolts for the door, but something has him by the neck." Where do you think you're going? The first meal I've had in over two hundred years." This voice was cruel, yet the priest wanted nothing but sleep. The priest fell to the floor, and a Breton woman opened the door to the chapel of Arkay. The great chapel lays empty, the moonlight shining through the stained glass window of the god, but the women took a little joy in knowing she killed a priest of Arkay. Leaving the chapel, the women made a bolt for the dark brotherhood sanctuary to find it destroyed. How was that possible? How could the dread father let this happen? She thought.
"You will find what's left of my children in Skyrim. They have lost their way; I entrust this mission to you. Make our family whole again." The sweet voice of the night mother filled the Breton's head. So Skyrim is where I must go. She looked up at the cloudless sky, the moon shining light on her pale skin. Baring her fangs, she smiled as the day she had waited for since joining the brotherhood all those years ago had come to light. She had been chosen to be her mother's listener.
The Breton woman arrived at the Windhelm docks. The cold and depressing city reminded her of the old home she had before leaving High Rock. The snow gently fell on the stone path beside the woman. It had been a long time since she left that crypt. A lot has changed since then, but none of that concerns her, as finding and fixing the family is the reason she woke up in the first place. She found the Candleharth hall in the city centre and paid for a room for the night. It's a good thing the coin has stayed the same. She sat by the fire, warming her dead hands as she overheard two older Nord men talking." Did you hear that blasted Anentus boy is back. Bad enough with the Boutcher about don't need any of those assassin types around here." one old man said to the other." I know bad enough with the war, but we don't need to be turning on each other." The other stated as they went back to their drinks. With that, she got up from her seat and left the inn. After looking for a bit, she found the house and wondered inside. "Sweet Mother, sweet Mother, send your child unto me, for the sins of the unworthy must be baptized in blood and fear." A child chanted the words to the black sacrament over and over again. She peeked around the corner to see a little boy no older than 12. His brown eyes met with her blood-red ones.
"You finally came. You came." He ran up and hugged the woman." I did the black sacrament over and over again. Now you can finally Kill that mean old lady at the orphanage." He looked up at her, his eyes teary." Yes, I can help you. My mother wills it." She says as she picks up the boy." I need you to kill Grelod, the kind she beats us and says nasty things to us at the orphanage." He says as he looks her in the eye." I shall kill this Gerlod, but where might I find her?" She puts him down, and he grabs a map. It has an x marked over Riften, so that is where I go next. " What's your name, lady?" The boy asks as she is about to leave." call me Mitabell." she leaves the boy's home and heads back to the inn. Mitbell walks into her cheap rented room and lays down on a bed cold and hard, almost like the tomb she stayed in for all those years.
"Another glorious morning. Makes me sick." Mitabell says to herself as she wanders through Riften gate. The hustle and bustle is a lot different in Riften. It feels alive. People were everywhere. Mitabell kept her dagger close just in case. Making her way through the market, she saw a redheaded nord shouting about some potion. However, when he tried to flag her, she ignored him and entered the orphanage." You little brats, I would beat you all to oblivion and back!" An older woman screams at all the little children. This must be the target." I'm sure that's not how you speak to the littlens." Mitabell walks around the corner and stares at the old woman." You bitch."
Gerlod tries to push Mitabell into a room, but she grabs Gerlod by the neck." Now, that's not very nice." Mitbell drags Gerlod outside Orphanage as she casts a spell to make Gerlod obey her." Now you will go into town and end your pathetic excuse of a life and do give us a show." Gerald takes off into the market, ranting and Raving about how children are evil. Dancing around the well in the middle of town, striping naked and then taking a dagger to her chest. Target dead, I will send a letter to the boy. With all of that over, she heads in for the day.
The day turned dark, and Mitabell left the inn before the daybreak. Even though the sun doesn't hurt her, looking at it is still rather annoying." My child. Now, make your way to the Falkreath sanctuary. When asked by the door, answer with Selience, my brother." The unholy lady leaves Mitabell's mind, and now she has a heading. Heading outside the city, she saw a rather unfortunate sight: a man lying on the ground next to his dead horse. Blood was everywhere. She looked around for any guards, but none were found. So, instead of walking there, she could resurrect and take this horse. Casting a dark but powerful spell, the horse returned to life and was utterly loyal to its new mistress. With her new companion, she set off to Falkreath.
It only took an hour to reach the town, which is relatively small for a major city, but it didn't matter. The rich smell of death and sorrow ultimately endowed the town. Just as it should be, children crying at the graveyard, people walking around with a sad look, Mitabell starts smiling, almost revealing her fangs. This was her new home now. She went to the Black door, and warmth filled her ancient bones; the night mother was close." What is the music of life?" The ask asked in a low husk tone." Silence, my brother." She answers back and opens the door. Now she was home.
