Hamato Yoshi left his grandfather's home to start over a brand new life, away from the creepy and morbid deals from his relatives, his mother's family are all conservative and strictly religious, he grew up in this cult like environment where he had to always be obedient and not make a single step out of the thin line that was demanded of them, his family was devoted and doctrinated by the beliefs of the "Hamato Ways", they all acted like coordinated machines, rarely expressing any emotions other than serene neutrality, but Yoshi was always the black sheep of the family, he was not only an orfan, but he was also curious and expressive, often getting in trouble and dragging the younger cousins and relatives into his mischievous messes, his grandfather always had to apologize in his behalf.
Yoshi grew up to resent his family and the way they treated him and eachother, everyone was judgmental of eachother and he was tired of hearing his family constantly bad mouthing eachother, they would force the beliefs of the "Hamato Ways" onto the children and their traditions were taught to them at a very young age, but as time went by, Yoshi became more aware of the world outside, about how life is for people outside those walls, and with that knowledge, he figured out how awful and possibly abusive his family really was, so in the first chance he got, he gathered up his things and ran away at 18 years old, Yoshi took his belongings, the dreams he wanted to pursue and a stash of money he stole from his granddad.
And with that, he got into a plane and flied to the USA, where he moved to New York and started his career as an upcoming actor, he changed his name to Lou Jitsu to hide his true identity in Cas his family went after him, using his new found fighting skills and the discipline he was taught since birth, he became a martial arts fighter, Yoshi combined his two talents and became famous for his many martial arts movies, he made himself quite a fortune and his fame only seemed to grow as time went on, years went by in a blink, and Lou Jitsu was 24 now, his career was stable and he made quite a life for himself, he even got a awesome girlfriend, she went by the nickname of... Big Mama... surely not tickling his mommy issues to make him fall for her even more, the two were the definition of "Love birds", always together and going out on countless dates, their time together was always filled with romance and extravagance, the two were stylish and over the top with love, always clinged to eachother most of the time, and Lou Jitsu just knew, that this woman is the one and only that he wants to spend the rest of his days with.
But right before the day he planned to propose, he found out that his american relatives were after him, he ended up telling his girlfriend about it, the beautiful woman who he planned to get married with suddenly transformed into a spider like yokai and kidnapped him for reasons unknown to him, but it was probably out of desperation, her beloved was suffering the threat of being taken away from her, and losing her precious champion would be devastating for her, so in order to keep him around for herself, she trapped him in her home, and since he seems to love fighting, so why not sign him up in the Battle Nexus? He'll surely love to have the chance to exercise his hobbie, wouldn't he?
And just like that, he was kept prisioner for months, being forced to fight giant monsters from what felt like another world entirely, that was until two little flying gremlings invaded his cage with the proposal of freedom, Lou Jitsu was hesitant at first but he eventually complied, following the strange bat thingies to another place, a building, where they were welcomed by a tall and quite honestly handsome yokai named Baron Draxum, who brought the three inside before they could be noticed, Lou Jitsu was still very confused about the situation so he just followed the Yokai's commands, unsure of what's going on or what will happen.
What he firstly thought was going to be a kind man coming to his rescue, that would offer him help or something, turned out to be just another captor that captured him again, the yokai reveals himself to be a mad scientist, a crazy man that intends to use of his DNA to mutate a quartet of hatchling turtles so he can mold them into child soldiers, this revelation sparked something in Lou Jitsu, a mix of shock, rage, fear and a ginormous sense of urgency and dread, like a growing pain he had bottled up for so long, the thought a small children, new-borns, being doctrinated into falling and following a cruel fate, now, where did he heard that before?... His family... they did the same to all of them and tried to do so with him, and now, he was gonna be forced to participate on repeating this awful cicle, his own blood will play a part on making these babies into killer monsters.
But he refused, he wouldn't just sit by and watch those kids suffer, he's been quiet for way to long now, he refuses to let himself stand by while that maniac turns those children into war weapons to end humanity, not them, so young and with a billion of opportunities for having a good life, Lou Jitsu will protect them and their right to have a remote chance of taking a shot in living their lifes the way they want, to grow up with love and acceptance so they can one day follow their own dreams, just like Yoshi always wanted, in a way, this is his way of giving these kids what he so desperately longed for, a saviour, a person that would love and protect him, someone who would support him unconditionally.
So after a lot of fighting, Lou Jitsu broke free from Draxums grasp and charged in to save the turtles, accidentally covering himself in Ooze as he rescued them, the lab suddenly went on fire and he had little to no time to scape, but with heart and determination, he finds an exit and leaves that Hidden City.
