Everyone is ready for today's event. They put too much effort into congratulating Mr. Lim's daughter finally handled this company.

Jam entered the building a little late for the event but atleast she comes first before Neli.

Everyone is happy and excited to see Neli for this event. Workers would pour warming welcome to Neli.

As soon as the event started at exact 11:30AM, Neli's car arrived and make an entrance to the event.

Everyone is screaming loud to congratulate Neli while having teary eyes to say good to Mr. Lim. Everyone is clapping their hands.

Jam, who's at the corner, is shocked at what she's seeing.

"Ne...li..." Jam said.

Jiji was right for the whole time. Mr. Lim's daughter is Neli who has been her friend 16 years ago.

Jam didn't know what to feel this time. There was a part of her being happy to see Neli again, after 16 years. Shocked because of the thing she found out today. Jam really wanted to run to Neli and hug her, but there's a part of her saying she might not recognize by Neli because that was 16 years ago.

Neli might look uncomfortable if she do such things. Jam is currently experiencing mixed emotions.

She left the event alone and went somewhere, where people won't see her.

JAM's POV

8:46PM

I was currently on the rooftop. I can only hear the cold breeze and see the lights of Seoul.

I have to calm down myself from what happened earlier.

I sighed.

"Why do I have to feel this?"

"Why I have to act this much? When I'm really not in the position."

"Jam..."

"It was 16 years ago!!!"

"Why do you have to feel this??!!" I shouted.

"You wasted your time..."

I said and burst into tears.

I feel like my heart broke into pieces.

I feel sorry for everything, that we lost in communication that time, when she's in US.

FAST FORWARD

JIJI's POV

I look at my watch, it's too late now and Jam isn't here yet. I have to text her.

Jam
Where are you? You're already late.

I'm so worried about her, ever since yesterday as the event got started I never saw her anywhere. I thought she was just roaming around or using the restroom.

"You look so worried. Are you okay?" Shan (Sana) said. She's our officemate.

I just give her a nod to assure her that I'm fine.

I was going to contact Jam's mother when I noticed that Jam had just seen my text.

Where are you?
Are you okay?
Can I call you?

Turns out, she keeps seeing my text and never replies to me.

I doubt that there has been something happening to her since yesterday. It's something strange. She never does this before, and never has an absence at work but her being late is understandable.

I continued to work and decided to check her later on lunch time.
