"Bellamy, Karina!" Bellamy and Karina quickly got out and put their shirts on. They went back into the woods behind the river and found everyone else all crouched around a rock.
"The blood is fresh so they can the too far out." Finn looked directly at Karina when he spoke trying to give her some hope. They followed behind Finn as he led them deeper into the woods. A distant groaning noise caught everyone's attention.
"What the hell was that?" Karina found the fear in Murphy's voice slightly amusing.
"Now would be a good time to take out that gun." Clarke turned speaking to Bellamy. Karina gave him a weird look seeing him pull a gun out of his waistband. Now she really wanted to know what he did.
The group followed the sound before they were led to an opening. There was a big tree and Jasper was tied up onto it. He looked awful with his hands tied above his head and blood splattered all over his body.
"Jasper." Karina let out shakily. A hand was laid on her shoulder, she turned to see Bellamy looking at her with empathy. Karina quickly ran forwards towards the boy before falling.
A hole opened up beneath her feet causing her to let out a scream. Bellamy quickly grabbed her hands and pulled her out of what she soon saw to be a pit of spikes.
"Are you okay." He asked quickly looking at her for any injuries. She only nodded while keeping her focus on Jasper.
"I don't think they want us here." Karina shakily spoke.
"No shit." Bellamy elbowed Murphy after he gave the sarcastic response.
"I'll climb up there and cut the vines." Karina spoke while trying to find a way up.
"No I will, you stay with Clarke." Finn spoke nodding his head towards Murphy and Bellamy.
A low growl erupted from behind where Karina was standing.
"What the hell was that." Murphy looked out into the direction it came from. Bellamy quickly pushed Karina behind her also now scoping out that area.
"Grounders?" Finn asked from up above while still trying to free Jasper.
"No." Karina spoke softly. She quickly pushed Bellamy out of the way before pulling a gun out of her waistband. She fired two shots at a giant black cougar that had jumped out of the bushes.
"Karina!" Bellamy yelled while running over to her.
"I'm fine." She muttered.
"Your blood." Clarke spoke walking up to her and touching her arm that now had a small gash in it.
"It's always been that color." She spoke as she watched the black colored blood drip down her arm. Bellamy quickly tore the bottom piece of his shirt off before handing it to Clarke.
"Where did you get the gun?" Clarke whispered to her while wrapping her arm tightly.
"I'll tell you later." Karina eyed all of the people around them before Clarke nodded.
"Guess we got dinner." Murphy chucked while looking down at the dead animal. Murphy and Wells carried the animal and Fin and Clarke carried Jasper back while Bellamy stayed by Karina's side.
"Well have Clarke clean it when we get back." He took her arm in his hand looking at the dark blood that was now seeping through the shirt onto her pale skin.
"I'm okay really." She let out a little chuckle finding Bellamy's concern amusing. He had always put up a tough demeanor so it was rare she saw his evident soft side. Karina let a soft smile spread across her lips knowing that Jasper was now safe.
"You're back." Monty smiled seeing Karina return. Jasper?" He asked hope in his eyes. Karina just smiled while nodding her head behind her. Monty quickly hugged her before running to help get Jasper into the drop ship.
Karina watched happily as Clarke tended to Jaspers wounds.
"Since Clarke is busy let me help you." Bellamy knelt down next to Karina with cloth and moonshine. She simply nodded at him.
"This is going to hurt." Bellamy held carefully onto her arm as he poured moonshine over the cut to disinfect it. Karina let out a little hiss with her other hand gripping Bellamy's arm. Bellamy quickly wrapped her arm tightly before sitting next to her.
"Thank you." Bellamy quickly turned his head to face her after finally hearing her speak.
"Wow- didn't know that was in your vocabulary." They both chuckled.
"Hey you're pushing it." She elbowed him while laughing more.
"I'll be right back." Bellamy got up and exited the drop ship. Soon enough he was back with two sticks of meat. He handed her one while smiling.
"You know you still haven't thanked me for literally saving your life." Karina joked not expecting the sincere reply he gave her. Bellamy turned to look her straight in the eyes and with a warm smile he spoke.
"Thank you."
