His Weakness

Emmanuel heard everything, he stayed outside her door. Still feeling unsure of what he must do. He can't believe she is that kind and caring. Her words bear sincerity in all aspects.
When Alpha Simons and his son left the room, Emmanuel silently slipped inside. Careful with his steps not wanting to wake his mate up. Watching her peacefully sleeping, he felt the need to caress her skin but stopped himself. He could feel his determination collapsing, with one last look at her he left the room. Keeping his firm hold on himself, he decided to go back to his pack without introducing himself to his mate. The mate bond is taking its effect on him seriously but he needs to stay strong. He can't love a human. They are weak and defenseless. And they would betray you for their selfish reasons.
It was noon when he reached his territory. He went straight to his house while his trackers and fighters went their separate ways.  Entering his house, the smell of his mother's cooking invaded his nose.
"I'm home mom." He called to his mother as he entered the kitchen.
"Happy birthday son, I'm glad you made home for your birthday dinner." His mother answered him.
"Any news you need to share with me son? How did the search go?" Eva smiled at her as she continued preparing the dishes.
"The search went well mom. We found Alpha Simons' daughter just in time." Emmanuel sighed. Avoiding his mother's gaze, he looked elsewhere.
"Are you sure you're not hiding something from me? Please dont forget that I'm your mother. I can stil feel your emotions while you're still unmated." His mother questioned him.
"I'm not ready to tell you yet mom. I'm still trying to sort things out. I will tell you once I have made up my mind." He do not want his mother to feel the same pressure he is feeling. So he chose to keep things to himself while trying so hard to stand by the decision that he has made.
" Just please dont ignore what your heart is telling you son. Your mind may have reasons over your heart but it doesn't mean that your reasons are always the rights ones." concern laced his mother's voice.
His birthday dinner went well. The pack greeted him all night. He recieved presents from everyone. He should feel happiness but deep inside he felt lost and empty. Images of his mate keep popping out of his mind. Benjamin's words are bothering him as well. He seems to like her a lot. What if Benjamin makes a move on her? Will he be able to accept that? They are friends, close friends and at this moment, it is Benjamin that is there beside her. What if she falls for him as well? But she's human. He can't be with her. He can't accept her as his mate. He just can't.
Days passed by, Emmanuel could feel his walls crumbling down. The need to be with his mate is making him weak every passing moment. He still haven't talked to his mother about Celestina. And he knows his mother is lossing her patience on him.
