Mark pulled into the parking lot of a high end building in the more luxurious section of the city, half excited and half terrified at what seemed to await him. He'd agreed to meet her here after her assistant had called him an hour ago, and could tell that this was exactly her type of place. The tasteful exterior and simple façade screamed 'exclusive' and he felt a little out of place as he walked in. The members only bar was on the second floor, and he had to show a QR code he'd been sent beforehand at the door. This is certainly a different world she lives in, he thought.

Once inside, it didn't take long for him to locate her. She was seated at the bar, halfway through a glass of whiskey on the rocks. Her trusty bodyguard was not far away, on the couches to the right, an untouched glass in front of him. Mark took a seat next to her, and the bartender promptly appeared to take his order. "Gin and tonic please," he said and turned to Lauren. "How did it go? The meeting that had you taking such drastic measures such as asking a stranger to date you ?"

She crossed her legs, drawing his eyes down to her feet. She was wearing a black mid-thigh dress, sheer black designer stockings and her signature pointy toed shoes.

"We aren't strangers, technically." she said, taking another sip of her drink. " I managed to escape a disaster thanks to you. Thank you."

He smiled. "Oh, so you do know how to thank people." he said, referring to the other night. She sighed, swirling around the whiskey in her glass. "I'm not always this shameless, believe it or not." she said.

He could see that she seemed a bit sad, and that didn't sit well with him. He always minded his own business and kept out of others' but something about her made him want to do whatever she wanted, be it a favor or command. She was a strong woman and probably didn't lack anything so the fact that she had to ask him something like this troubled him.

"Listen, I know you're not used to asking for help, and I only said yes to this because you said you needed me. You don't strike me as someone who needs people very often, and I don't want to be the person who turned you away when you did need someone. Besides, it'll be good for my restaurant to get some free publicity, don't you agree?" he said, hoping she'd get some comfort from his words.
