The very next day Junaid went back to meet her, and what he saw made his heart stop beating. She was a mess from all the crying she did, her hairs were messy as if someone pulled them hard, lips bleeding from the corner of the mouth showing the harshness she suffered.

"What are you doing!!?" He yelled as he ran to her, snatching the blade from her hands.

Qindeel cried slumped down on the floor covering her face with her hands. Junaid looked at her not knowing what to say or do.

He looked at the blade and threw it out of the window. He let out a sigh before he sat next to her.

"Hey?"

Qindeel ignored him and kept on crying. Junaid didn't say anything only waited patiently for her to finish.

After a while she calmed down but still let out little sobs, her whole face turned pink eyes bloodshot red. She slowly looked at him feeling embarrassed crying in front of someone younger than her.

Junaid didn't say anything just kept on staring at her, making her look down and nervous, she fiddled with her fingers quietly.

"Why?" His voice was low and hurt was visible in his tone. As if he's being conscious to even say anything to her.

Qindeel hesitated to look at him.

"Why Qindeel?" Hearing her name for the first time from his mouth made Qindeel feel something which she couldn't explain. It sounded so much better from his mouth. But at the same time so wrong.

"I-I don't want to b-be here." She said quietly.

"Neither do I, but I'm still staying here with you. At least we have food and shelter here. Out there....everything is too harsh and too brutal." He replied gently holding her hand.

Qindeel stared at his hand then at him, her stare turning into glare.

"You won't understand Junaid. You don't understand anything everything hurts. It just hurts everywhere. Everyday new men come to take every little bit of dignity left in me. I never wanted this life I can't just let them take my soul away from me....They took everything from me, there's nothing for me to do. You don't understand...you don't understand what it feels like when every man who walks out of this room has taken my soul, my dignity, my everything bit by bit with them. You don't understand Junaid that n-no matter what I-I am dirty now." she said breathing heavily letting everything out of her chest. Tears strimmed down her face.

Qindeel looked away from him looking out of the window.

No one understands what it's like to be lonely. I thought he did. But....guess I was wrong.

Lost in her own thoughts she felt him wiping her tears. Qindeel looked at him as he slowly wiped her tears with his shirt.

"I do. I do understand you Qindeel. But you're not alone here. Every single girl here understands your pain. Here some lost their souls forever and some just stopped realising that there is no soul in them. You're not dirty. You're the purest soul I ever met. I know you never wanted this life and no one does. But still you have to be strong there's more in life than this place. No matter what don't lose hope.... maybe one day maybe we can get out of here." he said looking deeply in her eyes.

There was silence between them for a while, so he broke it.

"And after getting out of here I won't help you in your work you have to do it yourself." Qindeel chuckled at him.

"I didn't tell you to clean my room. You come here by yourself , you think I don't know that I'm the only girl you talk out of all the girls here?" She said as Junaid scratch back neck in embarrassment.

"It's nothing like that, it's just easy to talk about anything with you. You make me feel many things which I don't know how to say. It's just......I like being with you." He said looking in her eyes with so many emotions.

"I like being with you too Junaid." she replied, staring back into his eyes.

***

After talking for a while Junaid left her room when she dozed off.

Ram informed him about didi asking his presence.

"Yes. Didi?" He said standing in front of her.

Rekha looked at him staring deeply in his eyes. While holding her tobacco pipe.

"Lit it." she ordered keeping it on her lips.

Junaid took the lighter from his pocket and went near her, lighting the pipe.

"I heard you're getting close with her." she asked. Junaid stopped his movements for a second before going back to work.

"I don't know what you are talking about Didi." He replied standing up.

"I know what I'm talking about. I'm not stopping you but I just want to let you know that I know when to let a bird fly and when to cut her wings." she said swallowing while smoking.

Junaid stared back at her, clenching his jaw.

"I want my work to be done, if someone comes in between I know what to do." she said curtly. Junaid just nodded his head.

Rekha threw some money at him and said.

"Bring some clothes to her, she has been wearing the same dress since she came here. I don't want my clients to be upset." Junaid looked at the money which was on the floor. Bending down taking it.

"I hope you understand Junaid."

"Yes Didi." He said leaving the room.
