School ended. Throughout the day, I had gotten pictures with my friends and I had a good time, despite what happened earlier. The bus ride home was sad, because I realized that next year, I'd be in high school. I wasn't ever going to walk down those middle school hallways again. When I got home, I layed down in bed, after an exhausting day. I fell asleep after about an hour of laying there, scrolling through Facebook on my phone. I had the weirdest dream. I was wrapped in someone's arms. I could tell that it was a girl's arms. She was hugging me from behind. I looked behind me to see her beautiful face. She had long, dark hair and bright eyes. Looking into them was like looking into a whole new world. Our heads starting moving towards each other. Just as we were about to kiss, I woke up. I was startled. I'd never thought about liking a girl before, let alone kissing one. Oh well i thought. Let's hope I can make the most out of this first day of summer. I got up and headed out to the kitchen. After eating some scrambled eggs I'd fixed for myself, I watched Youtube videos for about 2 hours. Suddenly, i heard a knock at the door. I was home alone. My mom had gone to work, and told me not to answer the door for anybody when she's gone. I looked through the window to see who it was. "Oh my gosh." i whispered out loud. It was the girl from my dreams. I thought, maybe it's okay to open the door this time. I opened it and said "Hi." "Hey." she said. Her voice sounded so sweet and her smile lit up the world. "Sorry to interupt your morning, but I'm moving in next door and I just wanted to meet my neighbors. My name is Violet." "I'm Sarah." i said, stepping out onto the porch. "I've been wondering who was moving into the house next door. How old are you?" i asked. "14." she replied. "Same here." i said, smiling. "Do you plan on going to Portage High School?" i asked. "Yes, actually. I guess I'll be looking forward to seeing you there." she said. "Definitely." we both smiled until i finally said, "Well I'd invite you to meet my mom but she's at work for the moment. Thanks for stopping by. It was nice meeting you." "Nice meeting you too." she said. She smiled, waved, and walked down my driveway and back to her house. Oh my gosh, I literally just met the girl of my dreams i thought to myself. I went back inside and sat down on the couch. What if dreams really do come true? I thought. Then I thought, no, there's no way i could ever like a girl. That's absurd. But then i sat there for awhile, thinking of the possibility. Maybe i really did like girls. I just couldn't admit it. I was so confused. My emotions were all mixed up. I didn't know what i was feeling.
