The next day, Violet added me on Facebook. I accepted her friend request and she messaged me.
Violet: hey
Me: hey
Violet: watchya doin
Me: not much, just bored
Violet: same here. Wanna hang?
Me: sure why not
Violet: ok walk over here. My parents are gone
Me: ok b there in 5 minutes
I quickly grabbed my phone charger and wallet and walked over next door to her house. I knocked on the door. It opened by itself. A little creeped out, i wandered in. Just then, Violet jumped out from behind the door and shouted, "BLEEEHHH!!" She scared the crap outta me. I went, "AH!" and fell to the floor. Violet started laughing really hard and bent over, holding her stomach. "Haha that was the best!" she said, a huge grin on her face. I couldn't help but laugh too. "Here." she offered her hand and I took it, getting back on my feet. "Soooo where are your parents?" i asked. "They went to California for vacation. They'll be gone a couple weeks, maybe even a whole month." "Well, they're lucky." I said. "How come you didn't go?" "I guess they just wanted to get away from me and they didn't wanna do the unpacking, so they left it to me." she said. I felt kinda bad for her. "I'll help you unpack if you want." I said. "It won't be as hard and as lonely." "I'd like that." she said, smiling. "But not today. Today, we have fun. Because I'm bored and I reeaaally don't feel like unpacking right now. What would you like to do?" "Hmm..." i thought aloud. "How about a tour of the house?" "Alrighty, sounds good to me." she said. "It's pretty big, two floors. I think you'll like it. I know I do."
